And it looks like the fundraiser event is over, the final count being:

Donated moneys: $11,327.70
Donating people: 152

Not bad guys, not bad.
I am impressed with what the Codex has done here. For a site infamous for it's scum & villainy we have once a again shown that our hearts (and wallets apparently) are in the right place. We truly step up to help usher in the :incline:. Yeah we complain talk a lot, but when it came dow to it 152 of us wanted to support (what we hope) is a true return to a real cRPG. A huge :bro: to DarkUnderlord and Angthoron for putting this together and making it so successful. A shout-out goes to @Temaperacl, as well, for being a true Codexian bro and donating on behalf of more than a few here on the 'Dex.

... and best of all... WE CRUSHED THE WATCH TOWER!!!!!!!!!!

So the Codex thinks they have won...

-> Larian will give the Codex a huge advantage in the game...

From this it follows that all inexperienced casual gamers play the Codex site

and all crpg enthusiasts and skilled hardcore gamers play the Watch site, because they want a challenging game :D

Is that what you are telling yourselves over there to dull the pain inside, gritting your teeth and staring angrily through the tears at the troll's victorious pose atop a broken watchtower?

And pissing on the still burning remains.

And that, Ladies and Trannies, is what RPGWatch is all about. Passive aggressive bullshit at its finest.

Now now guys, don't be mean to people that have jobs and lives.

They have expenses while we eat out of our parents' fridges.

However, woudn't making it harder for the Watch mean that they, people with lives, won't ever find the time to finish the game?

It has a race of cat people who you don't get to fuck (unless you're Mellthas, which you are not - and it's not entirely clear he gets to either) so I don't see how is it that different from say Wizardries and their several furry races.

HiddenX's favorite game is a western Visual Novel with shitty gameplay...

:killit:
Now, be fair. HiddenX's list is of favorite CRPGs. It is entirely possible that HiddenX's favorite overall game is a nice decent non-western VN like Rewrite.

Then again, maybe it isn't. Maybe HiddenX has never played Rewrite. Or worse, maybe HiddenX has played Rewrite and thought it was lacking. Or maybe even ... disliked it ...

WHY DID YOU DISLIKE REWRITE, HIDDENX?! What depravity and tastelessness is hidden under that smug, pompous exterior? How could your heart be so cold as to hate such pure and wonderful stories? Do feel threatened by a story where you may turn into a tree in the end? It was the only way to keep your promise! And what do you have against Sizuru anyhow? Do you hate girls with if they have an eyepatch? It is the fault of intolerant people like you that she must wear it! Or maybe.. Maybe you are a sunflower lover... Are you a sunflower lover, HiddenX? Does the thought of striking down thousands upon thousands of sunflowers disgust you? The experiment that made her like that wasn't Lucia's fault! Good lord, man - have some compassion.

See, I once thought you were a decent fellow, HiddenX. But instead it turns out you are just another aloof, arrogant, promise-breaking, tree-hating, sunflower-loving, moon-killing heterochromaphobe. Disgusting.

Side note: Congrats all on a successful fundraiser and beating the Watch.

Watchers are racist. You should see the outrage when I posted about Generation XTH there... all those cries about being a bad art style, some people even asked for a mod to replace the portraits... SUCH NERVE! Do you also want to replace people around you to fit your narrow, full-time job views of the world?
