Hello. I, Kirill, would like you to make a game, 3D action is the essence of this ... The user can play as forest elves, palace guards or a villain. And if the user plays as elves, then elves in the forest, wooden houses are raided with soldiers of the palace and villains. You can rob corovans... And the elf can be put so that there is a dense forest ... And the engine can be set so that trees in the distance are like a picture, when they come up, they are transformed into 3-dimensional trees [1]. You can buy, etc. features like Daggerfall. And the enemies are 3-dimensional too, and the corpse is also 3d. You can jump, etc. If you play for the protection of the palace, then you have to obey the commander, and protect the palace from the villain (havent come up with a name yet) and spies, and elf partisans and raid one of those (elfs or villain). And as the villain ... it means that spies or elf partisans sometimes attack, the user is the commander and can do whatever he wants to order his troops with him to attack the palace and go on the attack. There are 4 zones in the game in total. There's a map and there are 4 zones on it, 1 is the zone of humans (neutral), 2 is the zone of the emperor (where the palace is), 3 is the zone of elves, 4 is the zone of villain... (in the mountains, there is an old fort ...)
Also, so that in the game they could not only kill but also cut off a hand and if the user is not cured, he will die, also gouge out an eye, but the user may not die but simply not see half the screen, or get or buy a prosthesis, if the leg, too, either you will die or crawl or ride in a wheelchair, or the best ... put in a prosthesis. You can save the game...
P.S. I want this game for 2 years.

OK, OK, stop it with the hate.

I agree with Hag on all points in his most recent post EXCEPT for that my project is... "unoriginal". Where did this come from? You bastards didn't even read it is obvious.

Hold up a second it says Kick-starter on this thread...

goku-thinking.gif

First point... No link to the kick-starter page so good luck raising funds
Second point... Who is gonna hand over their money to a project stuck in perpetual pre-production
Third point... even if you have a kick-starter running what could you show beyond a GDD to prove that you have a game worth backing
Forth and Final Point... Even if you raised money (I know its a big stretch) how are you going to deliver the game? You have no programming experience and no programmer?
Also before you say you'll recruit someone from the thread really? really???

At this point that be as unrealistic as you developed the game...

What kind of art direction is the game going for?

Is it like Sprite?

Or 3D?

A really cool art direction is sort of a blend of the two. The Engine can mostly get the lighting, atmospheric right and the Sprites are much easier for indie developers to do.

I mean this game is gorgeous from an Art direction level.

I mean you could create some good locations, cool character concepts pretty fast and then shift to coding a rough pre-alpha build. I mean I've done a few game jams and they are not easy. Your on the right path with more retro graphics at an indie level this will be way easier for you to pull off.

But Cel Shading might be a bit ambitious.

I think this art style is probably easiest for new time 3d artists but you could shift to sprites and that would be the easier to pull off for more '2D' toony look.

Train an AI on the screenshots of Realms Beyond to create brand new screenshots for your kickstarter. I will pay good money for this quality of jpeg.
