Heh, isn't $9,000 given outside of kickstarter equal to $10,000 before that site takes its cut?

Paypal still takes a cut (3-4% I think) but it's certainly a lot better.

It usually ends up being around 10% I've found. In both this and the last two fundraisers.

But that includes conversion to and from Australian Pounds, doesn't it?

I think so - although the money in the account was always in USD and my understanding is the conversion doesn't happen until I withdraw... So not entirely sure.

And the 9% fees is in line with previous KickStarters, prior to the conversion.
