My team has the sexiest and deadliest waifus you can recruit.
Probably buying Travis Strikes Again. Didn't feel too enthusiastic about it initially, but the way it adds Suda's older titles to a continuity piqued my interest.

Makes me wonder how the continuity works here consider Curtis Blackburn is dead, while Dan Smith and Christopher Mills are both alive.

I guess they must lack the talent or ideas to make a new 2D Zelda.
Still it's nice I guess, since DX is still one of the entries of the series. Just don't dumb down the challenges (some dungeons were already a bit to simple in the original).

But, no footage or description of Metroid Prime 4 gameplay or features, and no new F-Zero game.
I think it's time to accept that franchise is dead. :negative:

They have completely thrown the current development progress on Metroid Prime 4 out of the window not that long ago so dont expect anything until 2021 atleast.

My Switch has been gathering dust for pretty much the past year, I love the idea of it but just don't have much to play on it outside of Lumines for 5-10 minutes or the odd rift in Diablo 3.

What are you guys playing at the moment?

The new announcements are pretty poor. Don't get all the love for Super Mario Maker, there's a reason a quality game is hard to come by, you need people with talent and a bunch of idiots throwing together a few warp pipes and some enemies don't make for fun levels to play.

I don't mind a graphic revamp for Links Awakening as even playing it on an emulator is annoying given the original handheld resolution but it'd be nice if it was a just a minor side project released digitally for $20 or so. Won't be the case however, they'll treat it like a proper AAA release and sell it for $60.

I'm really more surprised as to why they would do a sequel. I mean, what feature is there in this one that the last one didn't have?
And it's amazing they use this logic to not make another F-Zero but thrown them out the window when it comes to a useless sequel.
As for the quality of the level. Well in 10 000 maps there's bound to at least exist 1 great level.

hey stated in January's Direct that the development of Prime 4 was restarted and given to Retro Studios. Namco fucked something up.

Only around the game's release will we know why, since that's usually when developments leaks start to happen.
But considering it's Nintendo we're talking about here. I would say they weren't very happy with the project Namco was developing so they shut them down. But since they had already announced 4, with good amounts of positivity, cancelling it now would cause an uproar.

Currently I'm doing:
  • Wargroove - it's basically Advance Wars, just doing the campaign at the moment and it's worth the money. Pretty good turn based goodness, just make sure to skip every single fucking cutscene jesus christ how bad can you get. Hopefully people create some fun maps after that.
  • Tetris 99 is pretty awesome for being a free game. 99 people, Tetris, battle royale.
  • The Lion's Song is an adventure game set in early 20th century Austria - the Vienna Circle and all that. No idea if it's any good, but plan to try it out.
I might pick up Dark Souls (having never played any of those, in fact), Hollow Knight, and the 2D Mario later on. I never wanted a million games on the device, so it's been decent so far. The only hope is, more turn based games, the better, especially for this console.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and its expansion. Plenty of cringe but the combat keeps pulling me back in. It looks insane and incomprehensible at first but when you really get good at it you'll have a blast. The story and music get properly good after the first third of the game, too.

I think it gets ignored because giant porno boobs and young boy protagonist. I remember the cool feels in Xenogears back in my teens and this has the same vibes.

Another gem on Switch is Stardew Valley. More of an RPG than most posers to that moniker. Addictive gameplay loop and oozes charm. Me and my GF had lots of fun planning and farming.

Rumor: Microsoft and Nintendo collaborating to bring Xbox Game Pass and select first-party titles to Switch

Several rumors have surfaced recently of a collaboration between Microsoft and Nintendo to bring Xbox Game Pass and select first-party titles to Switch.
According to JeuxVideo, Microsoft and Nintendo executives have been having regular meetings, and while their conversations are not quite finished, several decisions have already been made, including the release of both Ori and the Blind Forest and Cuphead for Switch.

The website further states that one of Microsoft’s three bigger franchises—Forza, Gears of War, or Halo—is also being considered for Switch, though in what form is unknown (port of a current generation title, port of an Xbox 360 title, exclusive spin-off, etc.).
Xbox Game Pass and by extension the Project xCloud game streaming platform will reportedly be accessible to Switch players later this year. This would let Switch access the Xbox Game Pass lineup of titles through cloud streaming.

Direct Feed Gaming also reported yesterday that Microsoft is bringing Ori and the Blind Forest and Xbox Game Pass to Switch.
Game Informer sources have suggested that the announcement of Xbox Game Pass for Switch could come as soon as this year.
Thurrott reported today that Microsoft is trying to expand where Xbox Game Pass is available, including Switch. While it could not explicitly confirm whether the service would come to Switch, it did say that Microsoft is planning substantial Xbox Game Pass announcements for E3 2019.

And Windows Central reported that it has heard for almost a year that Microsoft has been aiming to bring Xbox Game Pass to Switch, and even PlayStation 4. It also heard that games like Ori and the Blind Forest and Cuphead are coming to Switch and may be used as test subjects for the new Xbox Live SDK for third-party developers, which will facilitate Xbox Live services on Switch and mobile devices.

Gematsu has also heard that a Switch version of Ori and the Blind Forest has appeared in at least one United Kingdom wholesale database under the distribution of THQ Nordic, which has worked with Microsoft in the past to publish PC titles on Steam.

Maybe I'm just prejudiced by the Detective Pikachu trailers but it would be cool if you would actually see Pokemon out in the world. It would make the world seem more alive.

Great, even more 5 years old games are coming to Switch. Do they have new 3rd party games on that console?

Been playing Devil Engine, it's one of the best shmups I've played in recent years. Reminds me of Thunder Force in a way, it's very fast and has a great soundtrack.

It's also available on PC.

No unless you count indie shit.
And no chance of that ever changing since Switch has a power of Xbox 360. I wish Nintendo would just release normal console on par with others.

I unironically think that the original looks way better than this shit. With that plastic style it looks like some cheap chinese mobile zelda knockoff.
