Non-RPGs you are extremely nostalgic about

Various, both because i played them growing up and because they have just the right athmosphere for the genre (I mean for of my tastes, that came initially from gamebooks and literature, so...)
Some exemples:

Alone in the Dark

When i played it, it was the connection between the flavour-clue texts and the imagery that made the trick; also, it reminded me of the gamebook House of Hell. Perhaps i already said those thing elsewhere but whatever.

Drakan

Straight fantasy adventure well made, swords, monsters, fantasy, dragons. No post-modernism and derivatives. Enough said.

Culpa innata

May be offputting to some, many many words, storyfag food. i find it to be one of the most interesting experiments in making a "political" game without it being shallow or worse. Also, very actual themes.

Daemonica

Nice gothic fantasy investigation game. You play as a demon summong (through herbs, pain and trance) occult detective in the middle ages. Short but fun.

I remember Daemonica being really bad game with bare minimum of stuff to do. There is a combat system but you fight like 2-3 times in the entire game. Very forgettable experience.

Very true. but i thought we were talking about nostalgy, not (necessary) quality. And i liked the athmosphere, would have liked they made a good game with those themes and athmosphere.

Yeah, i can't help but feel nostalgic for some obscure games like Goldenland 2 or Spells of Gold despite them being not very good.

I loved being able to choose how to pack the supply bags and choose where they got dropped

Damn, forgot to include Sacrifice

Now this is an RTS that I might enjoy.
Reminds me of Magic & Mayhem (which is good) except faster (M&M is really, really slow even a bit too much for me, an RTS illiterate that often welcomes
when they do not get too hectic and overwhelming).

Hmm, tangential and on-topic:
Operation Flashpoint: Resistance was awesome back then as well.
Mods just made it even better: Custom missions, CTI and dynamic campaigns. The cool Stargate mod https://www.moddb.com/mods/stargate-the-new-civilization and I'd still have to properly try finishing Abandoned Armies.

Sunset Riders and Zombies Ate my Neighbors. Used to always play them with my mom when I was a kid.
