I honestly believe if it were not for SB and ormacord or wherever else the various cliques hang out besides this site, none of this ongoing drama would have happened.

Is it really though? The codex had several splinter groups before discord was a thing and yet none of those groups spent a ton of time using them to plan harassment/gather information on forum posters. Face it discord attracts degenerates plain and simple. Nobody knows why but it does.

Well discord is a platform by itself is not really that attracts such people. Problem is the age is changed people are more rude today than how they were in past. And people are also absolutely too easy offended. This as result create circlejerks of people that love to grief others.
When i opened my discord the first time was because i was running a pnp campaign. Then becomed a place with friends discussing about games. Is not even super active tbh.
Tho on the internet there are large communities on war with each other that love to throw in the middle even who don't care about that stuff.
