I just wanted to tell that you have really earned my respect. I mean, you obviously have mega mega time management skills. You're constantly jetsetting around the globe. How ever do you get all your other important PR work done, and still, seemingly, spend ALL of your time here? You are so uber cool. It was sure a lucky, lucky day for Bethesda when they had the good sense to hire you. What a talent! What a human being!

I do what I can for the good of my fellow man.

Pete,

All the boys at school make fun of me when I take a shower in the gym with my underwear on. What should I do? And will your advice relate to any of the faction (or clan) quests?

Thank You

Convoluted means that something in extremely complex and complicated.
Thanks, Pete! I noticed that you are using a lot of words that are unfamiliar to me. I hope that Oblivion doesn't use many "convoluted" words and I won't have to play the game with a dictionary. Can you comment on that please?

After long meetings, and numerous different thoughts and discussion on the subject, we decided that it was best for the game and for the fans if common types of weapons were merged. This makes for an easier and more streamlined skill system.
I completely agree. I'm wondering though, why often mentioned Daggerfall had so many skills and all kinda stuff? Is it because the designers were less experienced back then and didn't know how to make awesome games like Morrowind and Oblivion?

Our developers have been working around the clock to bring you an epic roleplaying game that meets and exceeds all standards. We like to refer to this as the RPG for the next generation, as it brings to the table beautiful immersive graphics, complex physics, and our advanced intelligence system which we've dubbed Radiant AIâ„¢. This does help create alot of the freedom in Oblivionâ„¢. NPCs are given full, dynamic schedules which you can view and interact with. The characters are given a set of goals, such as "eat at 3:00", and depending on their personalities they will obtain that food. A common way is to buy it in a store, but less moral characters might try stealing food.

It really creates a level of unparalled interaction, and we're sure you all will enjoy it and the great gameplay advances it brings to the genre.
Wow! It gets better and better! I feel the urge to make another thread "Will you die if you won't get Oblivion for Cristmas?". I will definitely spend many days just watching NPCs and mapping their schedules. Even in real life I like to follow people around, and now I would be able to do that in a computer game!

We will offer the TES Construction Setâ„¢ in conjunction with the game which will allow players to create their own custom content, which will further the hundreds of hours that we've already filled Oblivionâ„¢ with.
I've already started working on my mod that does something awesome, but I haven't figured out what yet. Thank you, Bethesda!

They are still governed by a number based stat though, so "hit points" are still in. It shouldn't confuse you though, just remember that the smaller the red bar is, the closer you are to getting the proverbial "Game Over".

Proverbial? I couldn't find this word in my dictionary! YEs I looked! Is "proverbial game over" kind of like resurrection spell in Diablo?

BTW my friend says he's also working on a Oblivion Wilderness-mod! He's almost as talented as the professional devs!! t's going to be awesome!! He mailed me a screenshot the other day, but remember its only BETA!!

I can field this one, but you might want to wait on Pete for a definitive answer. Take off those underpants, and let them see your "baby's arm holding an apple". They will all be in awe, and that's not the slightest bit homoerotic. In fact, they are admiring your pendulous manhood in order to tell their sisters, girlfriends and mothers. You and your appendage will be the toast of the town!

I don't actually know anything about it, but I've heard rumours that your invitation (and initiation) into the Dark Brotherhood occurs in a prison shower block. I believe you are either sent on a short quest to retreive some nearby soap, or asked to "toss a salad", whatever that might mean.* I guess those crazy vegans struggle to get adequate sustenance from their breakfast, lunch and dinner, and so they even have to eat during the shower! Just to keep their weak bodies from passing out due to lack of meaty goodness!

* I just hope the man with the answers, shows up soon. That's Pete, btw.

In The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivionâ„¢, our Radiant AIâ„¢ system allows NPCs to act realistically to the action that you the player take. If you strip down naked in front of an NPC, they will act accordingly. While you're in the gym showers, your cleanliness is determined by how many articles of clothing you take off and your soap skill. How you handle yourself in front of the other NPCs, and how they react, are based on the appropriate factors. I hope that answered your question.

Proverbial refers to something that is widely known. The term "Game Over" is pretty famous in the industry.

With The Elder Scrolls Construction Setâ„¢, players will be able to create their own custom mods for the game and be able to upload those mods for others to play. We've created a very extensive and open system, since the CS (abbreviation for Construction Set) is what our own designers use to construct the game.

"Tossing the Salad" is a term refered to the sexual act of licking the hole of someone's anus. Unfortunately, to achieve a marketable rating we were unable to include this feature in Oblivionâ„¢.

We have desired from day one for Oblivionâ„¢ to be readily available for everyone at all skill levels. All dialogue is voiced and easily understandable. You will be able to get quests and know what to do without any fuss or confusion. The goal is to allow you to get right to the enjoyable parts of the game.

I completely agree. I'm wondering though, why often mentioned Daggerfall had so many skills and all kinda stuff? Is it because the designers were less experienced back then and didn't know how to make awesome games like Morrowind and Oblivion?

Daggerfall featured alot of skills that didn't have much effect on the game and how your character developed. We have spend alot of time balancing the skills we have so they can really cater to your playing type. While Oblivionâ„¢ has less skills than Daggerfall, our skills are better fleshed out, allowing your to play as a Fighter, Mage, of Thief with ease.

We have learned alot from the mistakes we've made on our past projects, and I would say we're a better development team because of it. We couldn't possibly have done what we're doing for Oblivionâ„¢ back in the Daggerfall days.

Wow! It gets better and better! I feel the urge to make another thread "Will you die if you won't get Oblivion for Cristmas?". The NPCs of Tamriel will have fully dynamic schedules. They will eat, sleep, go to work, and may even go exploring on their own. You can follow them around and watch their daily routine. This is especially good for thieves and assassins, allowing them to watch their prey.

I've already started working on my mod that does something awesome, but I haven't figured out what yet. Thank you, Bethesda!

Thank you. We hope to get out the best roleplaying game you've ever experienced, and I'm sure that you all will enjoy it.

There are too other reasons! One of the most important is that he doesn't financially support PETA or NAMBLA.

No, he doesn't support that either. In fact, he breeds pitbulls to fight in his basement. And he wears real animals furs, and leather, lots of leather.

Is it also determined by whether or not you're circumcised? And will this be a hidden stat or not? Will you be able to go to a healer to get your member in shape?
