Is there a way of getting the client without installing ARC, Pando, and all that crap? Every time I leave PW and return it has gone a little bit more to hell.

Steam is also allowed as a client, so you can avoid ARC.

As for Z-Store transfers... Only unopened reward packs like Bridge Officers, lockbox keys, fleet modules and the like can be sent to a different account (this is why the value of Keys is the basis of Zen:Energy Credit rates). No ships, uniforms and such can be transferred.

It seems I did manage to fool it by downloading an up-to-date client and then running it so that it would download the entire game. :D

I suppose you could just download a big fat rar of the entire game. That's what I do when I install it on yet another computer. To hell with their filthy Arc spyware! I barely even use the OLD launcher.

Keys, basically. But not much that you would consider a "stuffies". It is advised that you therefore not pointlessly create a new playing account unless you REALLY like farming.

It does seem that really really soon, before the end of September apparently, they will be releasing a new featured episode whose reward will be a free carrier ship thingie. Kind of the Ambassador and the Kamarag from Temporal Ambassador and the gigantic space whale from, uhm, way back then, I guess.

I doubt it is going to be as good as the Tholian Recluse but, well... There is no way I am going to grind one of those so for me it is either a Vo'Quv, a Kar'Fi, an Atrox, or this one. The Vo'Quv is great but ugly as fuck, the Kar'fi is really pretty (and I seem to be the only one who thinks so) but kind of prone to going kablooie, the Atrox is beautiful but according to the forums kind of bad, so... Well, either this one's pretty and kind of good or I am going to leave again until they release a Romie one.

Well, I guess there's also the dominion one but, uhm... It is Tactical oriented (and I am either Engi or Sci, I like pure support ships the most), it is kind of boring looking, and if I were to grind that much I would get me a Recluse and call it a day.

Edit: With some luck the Alien one will be an Elachi ship so that it can equip those consoles from the lockbox Elachi cruiser. And scorpion fighter devices. And, uhm... The repair platform thingie? And those turret thingies that do radiation damage and steal power? And the bio-neural warhead? And... And... And the science Holofleet with the cooldown reducing trait! :D

I don't have a giant 10 GB rar file at the moment, no. It would involve a fairly serious expenditure of effort to make and upload one. I am not sure you would take this sufficiently seriously to justify the effort. I do, however, have the installer I panic-downloaded at the hearing of this "Arc" business. To be quite kind of honest the Rommie traits are nothing to phone home about if you are into full support space whales, and I am so very much full support that my lieutenant tactical slot has become Attack Pattern Delta when I am not in denial and trying to make a full support ship that can actually DPS as well.

My old account is the one @transparentplayonwordsonmyrealname. So, like, no. It is kind of bothersome to play an MMO in which you can't really socialize because, well, just no.

All the other accounts had no Zen and everything of worth has long since been looted by my main account as I did use them mostly to get endless stream of Doffs but then I got bored because, well, I can't deal with grinding shit so I no longer do, so I may as well pick a new name to leave all the drama behind (for, say, a week and a half at least). I am a magnet for drama. Everything's nice and well until someone notices I am a girl, then everything goes to hell in a handbasket.

Edit: Oh, wait. I did have an account for neverwinter that had no STO characters and already had access to the channel. Oh, well. :S That sucks.

I've heard people have had success getting these changed because of privacy concerns, so you could file a ticket with Craptic and quite likely get this changed. I know a guy who did this for that exact same reason. Because for some reason, you people are really BAD at picking a fake real name. My own account, for instance, is based on my fake real name.

I have been wanting to see the new storyline ever since they did add it, and the 'KDF vs HELL!' storyline is probably the most awesome shit ever done in Star Trek (like, your merry gang of privateers dogfights AGAINST GHOSTS! How awesome is that?), but I am lazy as fuck to create a character I am never going to use beyond that.

In all honesty? Not really. Pretty much everything in the KDF fleet has gone obsolete from neglect and the Rommie Boffs are just so wildly OP that they practically invalidate every other choice.

It is possible to experience those storylines by grouping with a regular KDF character as a Rommie, although you will not receive any rewards for doing so.

Yeah, I thought so, too. But then this one guy suddenly showed up with a new name, already on my friend list, and I was like "How did this happen?". So apparently you can. Since it's not a gameplay issue, perhaps it doesn't have to go through as many layers of bureaucracy to get lost in.

Anyway, one last question. Let's say you have a lot of costumes unlocked in, say, the Federation. Section 31, both mirror universe sets, etc. And let's now say you create a Romulan/Reman/Rommie Alien and ally yourself with the Federation. Can you actually use those costumes or are you limited to the Romulan and Reman sets? My only Rommie so far has been aligned with the KDF and I have no costumes unlocked with them so I do not know, and... well... there is no beating the Federation when it comes down to cool clothes in the game.
