Hate being 'that guy' but Bastion is fairly easily countered once you get out of the low ranks. He can beat you when he *should* beat you (like when he's set up and still catches you unaware), but he's fairly bad at long range, and at shorter ranges can be taken out by Reap, Hog, and Rat.
Ana's sleep dart can neutralize him at range, and Mei's ice wall can block off him for a bit too.

There are rumors of a new map coming soon, a forest in Germany. Seems Bastion's short is set there. It's pure speculation, but it's probably going to be unveiled at gamescon (which is also in Germany).

I lost the match I hit 50 elims/50k dmg in as well.

On one hand, his career average damage is only a few thousand off my highest game. On the other, healing 39 as a junkrat boggles my mind.

And those will play at lower tickrate, question is: will a 20 tickrate client still get "favor the shooter" treatment? :p

Also this update has doubled my ping. I played two games and already had a case where I shot FuckRee with a projectile weapon and he took no damage because he killed me moments later. So nothing's changed.

The only change I noticed is the "finding game" time has increased. But who knows, maybe I'm just imagining things.

How about an mmr system that is based on performance, instead of a shitty win % nonsense (with forced 50% ratio to boot). Climbing the ladder will be impossible as a solo player, unless you luck out and win all of your placement matches.

Performance based mmr system is an utopia. Any metric added on top of win/loss and initial ranks will make the mmr system worse. They apparently consider how well people played which is already bad.
And 50% winrate is not enforced, is just the goal for any matchmaking system and every player except the very good and the very bad ones should end up there.

Win/loss giving mostly static mmr gain (+25,-25) is the simplest and most elegant way to do things.

problems happen when matchmaking is too lenient. my last game had a lv65 on my team partied with two lv 33s. This should never be allowed to happen.

Performance based mmr doesn't work in team games. Takes focus away from the objective and fucks over support roles. Contributions to victory can't be reliably quantified by stats alone.

Everyone is entitled to their tastes, but honestly this looks so contrived and forced marketing I can't even give it a chance. Least not for that price-tag...

I mean really, it's just league of legends, team fortress 2, and soft anime porn put into a blender. That does not sound exciting. I will say this so I don't sound like some hater; Overwatch seems to have better game balance in PvP than Team Fortress 2 or League of Legends.
