One of the ways SJW shit perpetuates, is by gamers constantly talking about it. Is the new trend at the codex to be an emo? You guys should stop it. I'm the only one allowed to be emo!

I admit I have very little actual info on this, but the intro video gave me a very poor impression. This can be the disappointment of the year.... Hopefully I am wrong.

Cara was already an influential figure in the games world due to her writing, but her blog and book boosted that profile. But she was unable to escape the digital sexism which blights the computer game world.

In fairness, given the ways Kindred and mortal society overlap, this is basically what I expect the Anarchs to be in 2019 (assuming the World of Darkness correlates to real world developments).

So, lack of technical progress and innovations OFTEN do play on hand of authors of something, if these authors can't for the life of them limit themself.
    Not a news, really.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but as someone who lives in Seattle I can guarantee this thing will be FILLED with SJW themes, or at the very least far-left stuff. Literally 95% (that's the actual percentage of Democrat votes in King County) of the people who live here think this way, there's no way a studio that Brian says is based in Seattle won't be affected by it.

sort of, if we treat it with cynicism, but without it Rudi doesn't sound like an Anarch, he sounds like he's in charge of Google's HR department, or any other company for that matter

it's power speaking, oblivious to itself

I will observe: While I'm sure the writers sympathize politically with Rudi, such a character in an RPG like this isn't doomed from the start -- for example, there could be rival "conservative" Anarchs from the grunge era who feel like expanding the movement to include the rights/interests of mortals or chasing after things like mortal consent to drink their blood (which Rudi almost inevitably supports) are super retarded and that Rudi needs to be dealt with so that the Anarch movement can recover its 90s era moral and political orientation of "vampires for vampires." Alternatively, the player can (somehow) rise up above his Thin Blood roots, become a champion of the Camarilla, and crush the Anarchs totally.

If the writers start giving plot armor and inordinate narrative focus, then the character is a liability and could possibly ruin the story and the game completely.

In either case, as long as the independent Grunge-era "fuck everyone and everything" playthrough is still supported, I'm personally fine with it.

Has anyone looked at Brian Mitsoda's Twitter to see if his wife SJWified him over the last few years?

Vault Dweller since you had to deal with him, would you characterize him as a SJW?

Why does anyone care about the so-called 'SJW' things in a game. If something as much as mentioning of transgenderism irks you the wrong way, then why let it bother you? A group of people want to convey their creative message across in a form of a vampire game. I do not think it is so much of a big deal. I find it similar to the way how people got mad at Wolfenstein 2. There were a few political sayings but not enough to even care about. It's just a way for other people to enjoy games if they want to feel the inclusivity of it. I think some people are looking too much into it in that every character will want collectivism of the society in a type of Democratic or National Socialism, or they will be a transgender individual. Let a group of people make their game the way they want to. It is not going to be overblown. SoD had one sentence of it, and did not change the narrative of the game. Without that one sentence, the game would not have been any better or worse. Just enjoy the game that it is trying to bring VtMB into a new game. It can hopefully be that simple. I hope that people can read this even-mindedly and if they have any concerns please reply civil and I will try to clear up anything I have said. We can also have a nice dialogue about it. Thanks.

If they hamfistedly shove transgender women or whatever into their game in some kind of self-righteous frenzy, then the result will be a shit ass game that isn't worth playing, & a game that's shit at pushing that message anyway.

If they focus on creating a good game with a good story, and the story happens to include traditionally masculine men or purple haired feminists, fine. I can play a game or read a book without becoming brainwashed or agreeing with all of its themes. I think banning a game just because the creator is racist/feminist/creationist/whatever is dumb, for example.

I don't really think screaming from the rooftops about how progressive the game is going to be is a very smart thing to do, really - just make a good game with whatever themes you want, and then let people pick up on it.

Sjw infested or not ( most likely ) its quite amazing we are actually seeing a sequel. Triple A games are going away again for triple B.

A broken fucking game on release that sold almost zero, yet still my favorite that year, getting this hype. Its quite amazing the community much like Thief and Doom kept it alive. Miraculous even.
