Essence drain is still crap. I do not even mind all this rolling, casting 4 spells per pack of white/magic mobs and fighting some rares like they are half of a boss fight but I know many other builds cruised through end of act 6 so I am more likely just wasting my time. Even switched to mom to squeeze some more spell damage out of mana. I think the main problem is chaos dot has no trigger skill that would let me cast something big at enemies to finish fights quicker. Or everyone in this area has better chaos res

I think I've gotten one jewel the entire time I've been playing.

Is there any way to obtain or farm these things?

Yea, they do not drop often. I got around 6 to drop by end of act 6.
Also a chest at end of Trial of Sekhema drops jewels

Did these brainiacs put the check for charged up skills on the server not client? Pretty sure I have to release before the flashy part of the animation gets rendered.

No idea, but that'd explain why my success rate in properly procing snipe is somewhere in the realm of 1 in 10 and why I often don't even try now.

I just made a script to do it for me so I don't have to bother with the timings.

Somebody said the drop rates are somewhat higher in Keth for some reason - any truth to this? Got a couple of jewel nodes I'd like to fill if possible.

I'm still in Act 3 and I'm pretty sure I have six of them, two of each colour (R,B,G, assuming there aren't other colours). I had to enhance most of them with orbs to see what I got, only one or maybe two started out at rare.

I got a level 76 Titan, and a level 90 Infernalist.

I got no clue why people were saying minions are shit in the game.

Right now, I'm running 22 skeleton archers. No blasphemy curse auras, no faggy flaming skulls. Just pain offering, and gas arrow on left and right click. I use a malice scepter for critical weakness, and I run the dog pet. Each of my skeleton archers does 12k dps on the tool tab with their basic attack when pain offering is up. It can shotgun up to 3x. Dropping a gas arrow can do 500-750k damage because it shotguns x3. Bosses with only 2-3 million HP get insta-deleted in maps. They just explode in loot, even T16 bosses, and even if they've got bonus HP from a map roll, they maybe got time to get 1 attack off. Some bosses have locked phase transitions, in which case you can instantly bust them to the next phase. Crowbell in maps completely glitches out on me because I do so much damage, that it glitches his phase transition and he just stands still while maintaining an invulnerability state. So I had to go from 22 to like 4 skeleton archers, and hold back the gas arrow to not glitch him out.

Blasphemy is bad on minions, you don't really have enough defensive layers to be wading through packs of enemies in high tier maps with potentially any combination of mods against various different enemy types. Archers tend want to stay back and shoot, and they might get out of range of your presence buffs from your scepter if you try to get close enough to apply the curses with blasphemy. Not only are you at considerably greater risk of ripping, you're probably doing less dps. Blasphemy, it's a waste of 60 spirt cost. Malice uses the presence radius, which is different than the radius for curses with blasphemy, it's considerably larger. So, I can be close enough to the enemies to give them critical weakness, and still be close enough to my archers to give them those % allies damage, crit bonuses, etc from my scepter.

I can stack nearly 300% rarity from equipment while using minions and still clear very well. I got a decent pair of rarity + resists rings I crafted myself, and after they dialed back the resist penalties, I'm mostly maxed on resists even running rarity gear. Chaos is 74/75, and lightning is 69/75, the others are capped or even way over capped. I give up +2 minion levels to run the rarity gear, so that's the only actual cut I'm making. The cost of the piece I'd need to get the rarity and not take that cut would be worth a mirror or close to it. I never saw perfect jewelers orbs drop before I started running rarity gear. I've seen 4 of these drop after running rarity gear. I get a lot of unique drops, and I mean a shit ton. Items like thieves torment rings? I've seen 3 of those drop.

I'm going to completely redo my Titan, I haven't decided on what I'm gonna go with but I'm for sure going to grab Giant's Blood so I can pair a 2h with a shield or dual wield 2hs. I might just sideline Titan until they add some more skill gems and weapon types to the game. You can see on the list there's a lot of "coming soon" options, and certain weapon types aren't even in the game yet.

Did they slow this game down? Only when it comes to not being able to spam mobility skills back to back, but if you say fuck it, I'd rather get the machine guns and mobile gas wagons out and "Bucha" these bitches, you most definitely can.

For map sustain, especially T15 maps, if you have very few T15s, use the few you got on locations with map bosses. Map bosses seem like they're guaranteed to drop at least x2 T15s, possibly more if you use the precursor tablets to spread radiation and boost the levels. It's worth using exalted orbs to push the map drop modifier to 300%+. I have no shortage of T15s, no issues sustaining them. Breaches are amazing for exp and loot drops, for me breaches are like Christmas.

People are complaining about map sustain being bad, which is true if you just don't craft the maps with higher % modifiers, utilize the precursor tablets, and pay attention to how map bosses seem to drop same-tier or higher maps consistently? If you've got very few of the highest tier map in your inventory, don't burn them on tiles with no extra bonuses, use one of your 1-3 tier lower, but still semi-relevant maps on those tiles as you proceed forward through the atlas.

Cause they feel kinda noodly for the first 15-20 levels which is where most people give up, I guess. Late act 1 - early act 2 seems to be a hump for many but once you get over it you start ramping up in power. I'm running a full skele arsonist build and it's pretty nice, although I don't think the massive amounts of fire effects are doing any favors for my CPU.

This.
Tell us somerandomdude how did you level with your minion build? Did you use skeletons at start? No SRS? No spells? Combination of melee and archer skeletons with a bit of support from spells?

Sure. Minion build was my second character, so I had some leveling gear to use, which absolutely makes a difference. Outside of this, I used fire wall to spawn raging spirits, I kept fire wall at low level to keep the mana cost low. And I used skeleton archers, the gas arrow on ignited enemies does good damage allowing you to kill rares and bosses. In the mid levels I swapped to arsonists, but this was before arsonists got nerfed (spirit cost was increased). As soon as you can use pain offering, get that and use it, it's a huge damage buff for your minions.

Ok, so a SRS build until persistent minions were actually useful. And with 2nd character. Now you know why people said minions were shit.

SRS scales off minion damage, and gets boosted by gear with +minion levels so it's designed for minion builds. People say minions are shit because they have no patience, they're looking for instant and immediate dopamine.

Who would've thought that the people that are highest on ladder are metawhores.
In other news, been playing witchhunter and he's perfectly fine.
with a 10ex weapon i was exploding basically everything even in level 8 maps (gemling grenadier)

witchhunter seems like the wrong choice to me, like i said with barely any investment you are ready for endgame before you even finish cruel. i could spend up to another 50 but that would just clear slightly faster (toss 1 less grenade batch). being able to use double support gems has been very nice - double scattershot, double vitality, double clarity etc. the mana really starts becoming an issue when you use 4+ and above proj skilll levels, the only thing saving me right now from chugging mana constantly is mana on kill

Kinda puzzled by sorcerous ward, I can't really tell when it procs and saves my bum. Currently in t12 maps, and having no problems.

It's not exactly impossible to do on a first character. It's just a bit slower, just like about any character.

shit game
you now realize why people RMT ;) grind for weeks or swipe... the choice is yours

Yaar Podshipnik look up Radiant Grief, instantly sets off your gas clouds just by being around mobs. you can also grab the keystone that gives you +30% damage to ignited mobs

devouring diadem is great for sustain too, consumes corpses every 3 seconds for 20% life recovery (like a faster Time of Need)

How much dex is reasonable for a warrior by end game?

I'm wondering how you would even accommodate Giant's Blood strength requirements considering I still miss even at 100% accuracy. I think you'd need at least 300 strength to accommodate a 2 hander with 3x strength requirements late game, which is a hefty budget.

Actually, I just realized, there is a node for accuracy rating based on strength, but it's weirdly deeply nested in the ranger or merc tree. I wonder if it would make more sense to spec into the node to make evasion impossible in favor of losing crits.
