Why is Diablo 4 in RPG section, and Path of Exile 2 in MMO?
Because more people visit RPG section so we get more entertainment from extra bashing of D4 fans.

Destiny 2 at least refers to itself as an MMO but Dark and Darker, Escape from Tarkov, Conan Exiles and Ark Survival Evolved being in here suggests that anything with character persistence between servers qualifies... Which means about 30% of games released today do as well.

Where's Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League? 40K Inquisitor Martyr? Titan Quest 2? Warhammer 40K Darktide? Warhammer Vermintide 1&2? If Diablo and Destiny are in here why are those not in here too? tbh I think the section should just be removed and everything either goes in General Gaming or RPG. The lines have been blurred for about ten years and it's only going to continue to blur further.

Yeah, it's either that or enforce some actual standard that justifies the 'massively' in MMO.

It's "Massively" not "Massive". It refers to the number of people playing together in one instance, not the size of the game.

Got listed today on Steam with system requirements ahead of the livestream. 100GB install. Wouldn't be surprised if new core packs include the beta access.

Fair-To-Play. Never Pay-To-Win. Path of Exile 2 is a separate game to the original Path of Exile. We will continue to offer expansions for both games going forward. They are completely free-to-play and will never be "pay to win".
Purchases are shared between the two games.

Why 100GB

They are using PBR materials now unlike POE1 that alone means every asset has like 3-7 different "textures" and they definitely upped polygon countdown on everything which means "textures" are way bigger than before.

For comparison D4 which launched months ago is about 100gb and it has barely any MTX in shop.

D4 has 50gb version. And PoE1 already struggles with streaming assets, maybe they should copy what D4 does right.
Also PBR for this genre is 100% bullshit, but at least they said no TAA.

Not quite liking that crossbow gameplay. Classes seem a bit more specialized than PoE1 in this one. Wonder if it'll be possible to play a melee mercenary.

Mercenary looks cool, except for the "sniper" crossbow. Ambivalent about the Crocodile Dundee voice.

WASD movement seems like incline, the inability to properly move and target at the same time has annoyed me for a long time in poe. Together with the dodge, it suggests the game will be way more twitchy now as opposed to mostly a numbers game.
