Grab the Codex by the pussy Strap Yourselves In Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
Played a lot yesterday and liked it very much. Didn't notice any bugs, either. My only gripes are:

1. The "get ready for battle!" splash screen before tb kicks in is longer than it should be and gets a bit annoying.
2. Most of the monster mugshots on the initiative bar look goofy af and very "russian game from the first decade of xxi century".

Both are very minor, though.
Okay, so it's worse than playing the non-Definitive version with the turn-based mod.

The Definitive Edition update also includes a bunch of bugfixes so how can it be worse? If you care that much about the old turn-based interface, maybe you can re-enable the mod. Or are you just looking for an excuse not to download 20GB?

Is there a story mode?
Indeed there is.
You know Kruno, your post has made me reevaluate my position on Kingmaker.
If an RPG includes a story mode difficulty, can it really be incline?
This compromise for braindead Larian and storyfags, it's unacceptable.
Kingmaker should only have 2 difficulties, hard and unfair.

Is there any way to kill the Tremendous Centipede without at least one death? I actually thought I managed it, but it somehow managed to kill Harrim from beyond the grave.

Scrolls of Delay Poison Communal and Resist Acid Communal, the rest depends on difficulty and party composition. Harrim can read both scrolls without skill checks.

Well, the game is definitely playable, but what's up with the numbers showing up in combat? They don't coincide with the combat log at all.

Turn right after Alpha Centauri
Buff up as much as you can, get everything on your tank from Bless to Delay Poison you want your tank being protected. Draw aggro with your tank. I usually have Amiri and Regongar with me, those two are buffed with Enlarge at least. Destroy the first group. Next group will first spawn some weaker once, destroy them until the big one comes. Get your tank to get aggro. Use your skirmishers and ranged to pick of weak ones first. Then collapse on the big fella. Have potions and your healer in range ready to keep your tank up.

Seems like something is indeed screwy. Roll is correct but AC of 4? That cannot be right.

It makes sense to me. That "18 vs 4" means that you rolled an 18 and you needed a 4 to succeed, because you have a +7 bonus and the enemy's AC is 11.
Oh, that makes sense. Guess I am retarded. Thanks.

I don't think I have those and I really don't want to waste time running back to Oleg's to get them.

Find a narrow choke point. Hold it. Focus the weak centipedes first. Isolate the big one, then rush him down.
Problem is that the big one has a pretty powerful projectile attack too. Also am I correct in assuming that it explodes on death? Last time I killed it, the two spitting centipedes next to it died out of nowhere and that's when Harrim got got, even though he was still in the green zone a second before.

Head back to Oleg's outpost. Make sure you've saved Jhod the cleric. He's at thorn ford. If you didn't already, go back there and kill the bandits, then talk to him. Afterwards he will tell you to meet him at Oleg's Outpost. That's who you buy the scrolls from. You need Delay Posion communal and Protection from Acid communal.

There's a tight pathway you can use as a choke point. It will allow you enough time to kill off the weak centipedes before the big one gets into the fight. Here's the choke point in question:

Do be noted that I did this on Unfair. Linzi died while face tanking it, but its fine. She can't die, upon death she gets teleported to a safe place.

You probably got destroyed by the poison damage they inflict.
