HoboForEternity
LIBERAL PROPAGANDIST
finished lamasthu's womb level.
the trash mob on this dungeon
this is 1.0 pillars of eternity level of shittyness. in fact this arc is full of trash mobs. some encounters are fun, but from the start, it was mostly "slowly cut trough the fog of war and destroy hordes of enemies" but yeah, after 72 hours apparently ( fuck my ass this game is huge! deadfire took 83 hours for me) you can see the dev's inexperience compared to obsidian. mostly in general polish, QoL and the finer touch of the detail. the levels especially shows.
in the end, i just have all my mages equip fireball in their slots, have harrim cast resist fire, and start spamming fireball EVERYWHERE
the resist spell absorb all the damage while those fuckign spider swarms got blasted off to the first world.
still wonderful game, although the honeymoon is over, i still enjoy it. it won over deadfire in basically ruleset and other minor stuff, since owlcat have the extensive pathfinder IP behind them. deadfire however, won in overall atmosphere, encounter design is definitely superior (most of the time anyway so far) the finer touch like how UI work, etc, deadfire overall have edge over P:K.
eh i am just happy we got several great RPGs this year. plus, if they ever release the turn based combat for deadfire, it would shake things up enough .
