But when the choice is either the same ones or a new one never done before? What is there to choose?. Maybe i'm biased as fuck but i know for a fact that i already played crpgs as planars and elementals, but never as a half-vampire.

Sure i would like to be able to make all races, that's a no brainer but is not the point.
and what interaction with NPC a dhampir will have?

a single different dialogue line or more?

Yeah thats hit nail on head, if its just consequence free larping like Skyrim, playing dress up wi no unique gameplay or real point then i'd prefer less options wi more reactivity.

true for single character, but for a party based game, just let me play with mechanically different characters

Pathfinder: Kingmaker Beta #6 - Ancient Tomb

We catch up to Tartuccio in the Ancient Tomb, recruit one of his companions (the downer cleric, but hey we need a cleric) and give the rest a nice old fashioned beat down. When we catch up to the evil little gnome again, we find out he can be literally more cold-blooded than we thought. We need a rest from resting.

Still enthusiastic, but fuck that gameplay makes POE look downright frenetic. Between Shane's ponderous playing and them sluggy animations, that video needs to be watched at 2x speed to be bearable.

PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath
I like the speed in this (and in the IE games) much better than the speed in PoE. I think PoE's combat pacing is its biggest issue.

40 FPS is fine for me, but I've spend most time playing at the default. I had gotten used to it long before I started playing around with changing it.

Beta 2 Incoming!
Posted by Berserkerkitten

Dear Pathfinders,

As promised, we are releasing our second beta build this month. In fact, we're expecting to push it out on Steam at the end of this week, if we don't encounter any unexpected last minute bugs. Fingers crossed!

The new build will contain chapters two and three of the story for all beta backers to enjoy. This also means you will get to experience the latest iteration of our Kingdom feature! It's going to be a bit more fleshed out and complex than its alpha counterpart, so we'll be releasing some basic instructions in the coming days to help you get started.

If you're already in beta 1, you'll receive the updated build via Steam as soon as it goes live. Beta 1 savegames will be compatible, so there's no need to start over. As with the previous build, there is no NDA, so feel free to stream, share footage on YouTube and show your gameplay with your friends. Are you ready to continue your conquest of the Stolen Lands?

Many new challenges await in Beta 2! (Image is work in progress and pending approval)

Hail to the Kings!

Will they fix the weight issue in beta 2 or was it already fixed?

Yes well, this is a pathfinder game and therefore has pathfinder rules. It's not d&d 3.0 of ToEE and it is certainly not d&d 5e. You can't directly compare it with d&d like that because the value of attributes is not the same as in d&d. Different monster stats, different to-hit chances, different feat system, different spell system, different itemization - these all affect the relative value of attributes.

It is based on D&D 3.5.

And sometimes referrred to as D&D 3.75

That shane plays video paints a horrible picture of the game due the retardardation of the player. The guy attempts to camp for 15 minutes. Somewhere in the later parts he informs us that he has played d&d. Absolutely he has never been anywhere near it. I have never played it either but i dont have any issues figuring out what most of that self-explanatory stuff is. Yet half of the video is "hnng... whats this... hnngh, urgh so this goes hnnghjhh...". I bet the people making this game love the "visibility" they are getting.

There is a good explanation for all of this. You see, Shane loves Sword Coast Legends and thinks because he played that.. shit.. he played D&D or something. Just don't expect too much from him :D

I don't watch shane but pitching to the median gamer is not a bad strategy. 66% of the bell curve is within 1 std dev of the mean! Except Codex is only for the 99th percentile in grognardism, so
Put another way, imagine a person of average intelligence. Now realize that half of the population is dumber than that.

Bell curves and standard deviations (as oasis789 brought up) makes it even more troubling!

How does cheating work?
The only adresses I find are adresses of hex represintation of ascii characters corresponding to various ability scores in GUI.
I try to look what writes to that adress and read the functions, but I can't find there the actual values of ability scores are stored.
