How many people here played as a dhampir cruoromancer?

He talked a lot about magical items in this video at 4:32 but where I can find this items? Summoning a shadow demon each time that I cast a tier 6+ spell sounds so amazing. No info on wiki https://pathfinderwrathoftherighteous.wiki.fextralife.com/Belt+of+Demonic+Shadow

This is from Woljifs personal quest when you find him after Drezen.
Cultist Leader drops it.

Change of meds? Anyhow core gameplay is pretty much the same as in pfk what changed is uh.... This crusader thingy tackled on top of it Wich is... uh... I would rather avoid, I kinda liked pfk kingdom management though it was okayish loop.
I honestly prefer the crusader system over the kingdom management one, although that's no high praise given that both are superfluous and only detract from the RPG experience.

I really wish that devs would stop tackling such gimmicky mechanics just for the sake of it, you either go full hybrid for better or worse (e.g. the Spellforce series as a mix between RTS and RPG) or you stick to RPG mechanics.

It’s not in fact gimmicky. I’ve got my three armies for the three different generals just like HoMM. There’s a lot here.

You’re just seeing suck because you expected to. It’s solid.
And that's why you shouldn't care about what Desiderius saying. Path to victory is one caster general with mass archers army.

Archers often get one-shot by enemies, something tanky is better.
Stack of hellknights. Then even if you lose your marksmen from 1-shot you can kill enemy army with spells and resurrect everyone in the infirmary.

How would you resurrect everyone in the infirmary? The size is 1 or at best 2 stacks.

Tbh sounds like a normal army if you have HK, not mass archers.

Vs some enemies I found it easier to just leave the HK in, and throw everyone else out.

Is there a list somewhere of what general abilities work and don't work? It feels a bit like playing russian roulette when picking skills on levelup.

If you want to be totally safe stick with stuff from P:K. But I haven't run into anything gamebreaking on my MC, Companions, or the HoMM stuff. It's in better shape than I thought it would be. Mostly missing stuff more than bugged I think.

everything thats new and not angel/demon is bugged
Note that I said "general abilities" ie the stuff you put on your generals in HoMM mode. So far bane and boneshatter don't work (the targeting will get wonky and won't let you target anything but empty tiles, which obviously does nothing), siphon time only works 50% (all your units get hasted, but the enemy does not get slowed).

At least creating zombies/skeletons after a fight works for me now.

Has any of our russians checked if there's any difference between russian and english writing? I wonder if the writing is as cringy in russian as it is in english.

I am only half was into Act 2 but except for few exceptions that I clicked through fast I have not seen that much cringe writing. But I guess it comes down to expectations. I neither expect or care that writing is not close to PST level or realistic. It just needs to fit D&D level high fantasy. It needs to provide fair cause to continue adventuring, murdering enemies, taking their loot and leveling up.
It provides all that while also having better writing than POE1 (read: less text). There is a lot of different and crazy characters that make you chuckle while I can easily skip through dialogue dealing with SJW stuff. And even that is still better than what Beamdog added to BG.

I would even say that I like starting companions more than in PKM as they are less irritating.

Sigh... looks like Owlcat's coders never learn...

Good old and very nasty bug where state of triggers persist globally between save games instead of clearing on the game load is back with vengeance.

I have already encountered it twice - first time in Leper's Smile, where penalty to Crusade Morale for looting was still applied after reloading the game and second time with Wolgif quest start in ch3 when replaying cultist cutscene auto-fails the whole quest.

And it is really, really mean bug for a people like me, who autistically check all available options is some event with excessive use of Quick Load.
At least same workaround with closing the game and "clean" replay of events still works...
And now I need to figure out how to describe this shit in bug report.

This is stupid, and I will not do it. I believe the game was mostly written in English and then translated to Russian, so expecting some silver bullet just because you have different script is naive.

Again: if you want a Russian game play a Russian game. What residential Turk recommended: Black Book, Encased, this stuff. Owlcat Games are Russian in a sense that they expect players to have numeracy skills, extract information from written texts and apply it to the game; on more superficial level - not that much.

I'm just curious if there are differences in style of the writing between russian vs. english.

What is the problem with power gaming? Is there any reason to play this thing if it isnt to power game the shit out of it? The first motherfucker that comes talking of "roleplaying" on a game that has a furry in it and half the cast talk like californian girls, I will throw a virtual shoe on his head.

There ought to be a middle ground between faggot walking sim roleplaying and hardcore autismo minmaxing. I don't like having dump stats or 1-class-dips into stuff that thematically doesn't make sense, but that is exactly the way you need to play this on Core it seems.
Are we even playing the same game?

Why would you need dump stats and 1-class-dips? I'm playing on Core without any of that and I'm doing fine. The only problematic encounter so far has been the one with the AIDS-ridden smilodons.
Ok, I'm ready to retract my statement: the encounter with the plagued smilodons felt unfair only because I assumed that, as undead, they would be immune to Snowball. However, apparently, undead can be affected by spells that require a Fortitude saving throw... weird, but ok.

I honestly can't call "problematic" an encounter with three creatures with a grand total of +4 Fortitude in a game where Snowball exists and can affect them.

I disagree. Played the beta and saw a lot of stuff written in Cyrillic alphabet. Mainly in ch 4 my least played part in the beta.

Anyway, killed the playful darkness and sadly din't got the archivement. Anyone else with the same problem? I will post a video soon as a proof.

I hope people will find a way to change portraits for crusade units. Because right now even solasta faces looks like high quality gaem compared to them.

Just a little PSA. Apart from the usual suspects like Nerd Commando and InEffect (who seems to be behind the current Neoseeker collection), I quite like BolshyPlays' builds. His builds aren't quite as flashy and muchkinized as those other two; also, like Roahin's builds on GOG for PFK. he keeps a weather eye on the rp aspect of things. But I think he has as good a grasp of the system as those more well-known buildfags, and he does a good job of explaining exactly what his rationale is as he goes. He'd be a bit more suitable as a guide for someone who's new to the system than any of the others, I think.

So it's "build porn" game because you watch how someone else do it, like in regular porn, instead of doing something yourself?

It's a good question actually. I don't know why I like build vids, I just do - and evidently lots of others do too. There's a certain stage when you're getting into a game when you just can't get enough of it, of thinking about it, and build vids feed into that momentary obsession.

I guess it's capitalizing on other peoples' time investment. I mean, I spend a fair amount of time playing games, but not as much as some of these people obviously do, and they learn about things I just don't have the time to learn, so why not take advantage of that?

*************

Musing further on this, it relates to a problem I've always had with many of these build systems - it's that they work best when one "retrofits" earlier stages of the build to recondite knowledge about later synergies and neat tricks, or special weapons to be found later in the game.

I would much rather have a system that you can build and adjust intuitively as you go, with just a bit of common sense - more like Troubleshooter's system - but this system, D&D generally, is more the former, so I think it's quite natural that there should be interest in seeing what other people with more in-depth knowledge know.

Less text? Are you kidding? There is a veritable diarrhea of long-winded writing.

In Nocticula's city now. Oh my God, I will grow old and grey before these moving platforms and houses align properly. :negative: Sometimes I have to restart the game because one particular bridge refuses to move again after a certain period of time.

I dunno, i think fanta with his 20/20/20/20/20/20 rogue and Victor with "i wanna pew-pew succubus harem" are step higher than build watchers.

Sword-Saint-1.jpg

This is my character for my second run, presently unbuffed and waiting for the inn attack after clearing everything except the garrison.

I decided on Sword Saint, will go for the Trickster path this time.

He gets 6 skill points per level up (2 base, 2 from int, 1 from human, 1 from human exclusive feat) which I think should be adequate.

My plan is to also make him a wand wielder with the UMD tricks and magus wand powers. Probably going to put the other points into INT to boost this and get a seventh skill.
