Man, I was joking before but I finally got to playful darkness and am failing hard.
I'm too stubborn to just move on but too dumb to actually beat it.

What spells even fucking do attribute damage? None that I took at least.
I've tried all the positive energy damage I can, I can take maybe like 200 HP off him, but that doesn't even dent his health bar.
The only reason I can even last a few rounds is because Seelah has the Mythic feat where she won't die for a few rounds per day.

You can't beat her in melee without minmaxing builds. What you can do is rest, remember all the summons/nukes you can and kill her with magic while she's killing the summons. She doesn't have the Evasion feat, so you can even choose which spells to use. (unlike the certain dragon later, which has the untouchable AC and evasion, so you have a very limited choice of spells)

Also, if you have Cammy, be sure to use Creeping Doom, it ignores pretty much everything.

Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture
Scorching Ray is hilariously OP. Surely they're going to nerf it at some point?
Let's hope they don't. I can't imagine slogging through that pathetic excuse for a minigame without being able to instantly delete 3 stacks of enemies with a fireball. A nerf to direct-damage spells is what would probably convince me to download the auto-win mod.

Just noticed my magic negro sosiel has domain spells for all his gods domains, including ones from his impossible domain. For example he has air domain spells like shocking touch and lightning bolt even though I didnt take air domain. Is this bugged?

We should constrain every new join to a "Prove you are not a retard" subforum, where they will have to discuss RPGs. At the end of the year moderators concerned over the quality of discussion on the codex will decide who gets to remain and who gets banned.
Desiderius was right about the literacy levels in the states, judging by how many didn't get the irony in this post.

Impressions of rerolling with a lawful evil Cavalier:

The game clearly hates me - second time I beat the water elemental on Core, and second time I don't receive the achievement. Probably a GOG-only bug.

I read people saying here that the game is much easier if you start as a melee tank or a damage delaer, instead of caster, but I never realized how dramatic the difference is. My Wizard MC was useless compared to the cavalier.

Indeed, stuffing a game with magic resistant and damage-reducing enemies right from the tutorial tends to diminish the already low utility of vancian casters or at least limit them to buffers and ground-casters of reflex-attacking spells which circumvent magic resistance.

People meming that "oh you play on TB, so you play the game two difficulty levels lower hurr durr" while they are fucking up things left and right with their gay-ified versions of barbarians and rangers should try the game with a vancian caster - up to level 5 it felt like having one less party member.

Core is actually not a big deal at all. Maybe only Fedora should stick to Normal.

Wait.... how many characters do you get to create at the start? Is there a thread with the short list on character creation per game?
Poe 1-2
BG1-2
Owlcat games

ie
X - create 1-6 new characters (wizardry)
X - create 1 new character find npcs.
X - start with pre-determined story pc, find story companions (like phantasy star)

i've been grogging too much with 70-80s games.

and how fucking buggy is this bitch still?
You can create a full party in PoE 1/2 not long after the tutorial. It's very cheap.

You can roll custom party members in PKM, but I don't remember the prices, never tried it. In WoTR it's pretty expensice, I think one costs 4500 at level 3, when you first get access to the guy who can sell them to you.

110 hours later finished Drezen, 10 hours in Drezen itself

Wow, thought my 70 hours to finish Act 2 was long.
My Wizard is a little over 70 hours and I just finished Lost Chapel. Trying out the first two chapters with a new character felt interesting to try out, and I also had a character idea in my head, so I couldn't resist rerolling. I'll probably get back to the wizard, have to try out classical lichdom :obviously:

By the way, I'm guessing that rank V is the maximum for the various crusade stats?
Only in the act 3.

There should be a recruitable general with Scorching Ray and Master of Maneuver (the "stone wizard" guy), pick him because those are both useful perks. The "black woman wizard" is also fine, since she has Scorching Ray and you can select Master of Maneuver later.
The "stone wizard" and "black woman wizard" are your holy saviors from the Darkness of Crusade System, so they deserve to be mentioned by names - Setsuna Shy and Chief Ageboya.

I was using both Resist and Protection, too, but as you can see it doesn't help.

Flame Strike is Fire + Holy damage dawg, Resist and Protect did their job, I can see that from your screenshot. Also, if you want to see some wonky trap placement, try the map were Arueshalae sends you to find

By the way I laughed hard at the UI design inanity of not letting you see the name of your general after you assign him/her. If anyone has found a way to see their names afterwards and I'm wrong, please correct me.

You're right, I forgot about the Holy part of Flame Strike - Still, you round a corner and get fucked in the face with little to no recourse, unless of course you knew ahead of time what was coming up.

How much power do your General recover per day? Is that recorded by the UI somewhere? I mean, I can write down her name or call her Magical Negresse just fine...
I think it was mentioned in one of the tutorials, and if I remember right - 10% of his total power per day.

So it's been awhile since I played Kingmaker and I don't feel like reinstalling to check this. Could enemies walk through each other in that game? I am failing to see the point in positioning myself while indoors if enemies can just walk through not just walls but each other.

They don't seem to in Wrath. It isn't exactly like a grid so movement can still occur in situations where it wouldn't if you were playing PnP. But I have seen enemies get jammed up in doorways before and have used it to my advantage.

From what I can tell, this works the way it does in PnP, occasional wonkiness aside. Characters (both player controlled and NPCs) can move freely through other characters friendly to them, they just can't end their turn in a occupied position (a square in PnP). This is why doorways can still be used as bottlenecks, just park your guys on one side and only a couple of enemies will be able to reach them at a time. Others will have to wait for space in the front to clear up - they can't move through the doorway as your characters are blocking their movement, but they can't attack them either as that would mean ending their turn sharing position with their own frontliners.

Exception to this is charging. That should not be possible even through friendly characters. but I'm pretty sure it is in the game. But then charging has bigger issues than that right now.

10% per day of his total.

Yes, it is. I figured it out by reloading, must have missed the tip. Thank you very much!

Still, I think a little +7/+8/+9 on the side of the power bar would be better solution.
The UI and general asset reuse in the HoMM mode is terrible. I say this as someone who especially values good UI in games. The worst thing is that once it's rolled out of the door, no developer will ever spend money on improving it. The motto of every big company today is "you will learn to use an ever shittier UI, and you will like it."
