I was forced to take Persuasion 3 at mythic 10 and it's bugged and does nothing :\
Also I wish there was more choice in unique +5 weapons. If you dual wield you are basically stuck with Finnean.

I couldn't even find a greater extend rod, does it exist?

Sounds like a shitty JRPG to me. Glad I dropped this game.

Casters can clone himself and spam aoe in BG2 and many other RPGs.

Occasionally you can turn people into furniture or other random silly things. And the final trickster quest you sneak into a very powerful and important npcs house and play pranks.

Areelu hardest fight of the game. She fully heals her 1300 HP 3/4 times while casting quickend polar midnight/clashing rocks/prismatic sprays and shieeeeeeet. She is also immune to critical hits, cold, and a shitload of things.
I reloaed several times until I finally finished to bruteforce her with only 1 companion dead. I guess there must be another and easier way but no idea what.
Life would have probably been easier if I did the recipe that gives plus 3 to saving throws also.

2nd hardest fight in the game was the Threeshold camp invasion. Because its fucking bugged and instead of controlling 6 companions I had 4 companions plus my merc that was with me in threeshold (so no control) and his animal companion that instead somehow was ALSO in the camp.
So basically I had Lann, Aru, Greybor and Sosiel plus animal companion wtf.

Here is a top secret cheat code for that fight, at least on Core:

I have heightened spells to 9th level before, I am not sure why its giving you issues.

Pretty sure they introduced a weird bug where she full heals every few turns at some point lol.

When I fought Areelu on release she was totally different from now. She had Khorramzadeh in the room with her, which was an interesting bug. Khorramzadeh is still there if I reload the save right before the fight with her actually...

You can do it immediately after you do his first quest if you want. He always dies if you don't wait until his act 5 quest though.

I have the same issue, can't heighten anything past 8. There's a bug report on their forum about it, but it's from september so guess it's no rush to fix it. Maybe spam them with some more reports?

There are multiple bugs with specific spells in combination with metamagics, so this is probably just one of these bugs. They seem to be fixing them one or two spells at a time, so make sure you report it and it will probably get fixed in a later patch.

Problem is you have to save money before going in the abyss, could be problematic at higher diffitculties. Also tricksters identified weapons get +1 which is a strong incentive to not buy and wait for loot.

Aivu's caster level is very very high (equal to her HD so I think over 30 at the end of the game). But any late game dispeller should be able to dispell a lot of her even on hard (Lich, aeon, and trickster trickery all three have high caster level dispel abilities). Could dispell her pretty reliably with 18 lvls of sorc and spell specialization in greater dispel on hard. Dispelling, in general, is a very good boss killing strategy although DCs can be pretty high in early-midgame. That makes good argument for certain mythic paths though, who have access to better dispelling tools earlier. Trickster Tricktery r2 most notably shits all over playful darkness. That boss is a lot less scary when you strip him of every buff in round 1.

For trickster trickery do you need rank in it or companions ranks count? Also what CL is trickery 2? Ranks - 10 or full trickery value -10?

No, you need to have high trickery skill for that to work. It gives you greater dispell spell like ability that use trickery skill - 20 to do the caster level check. But it's very easy to boost trickery to much higher levels (even with -20 penalty) than you would ever get with CLs by the time you get access to this ability (between gear, dex buffs, other classes buffs like touch of good/Vision of madness/bard song etc...). The sad part about this, and the crux of my frustration with trickster is that to get access to it at a time where it gives you a significant tempo advantage compared to other mythic (as far as dispelling abilities are concerned), you need to give up perception 2 and the trickster feats until end of act 4 which is very sad.

Well I was a trickster but 0 point in trickery so the point is moot. I had my cleric with greater dispell, with no spell focus abjuration, so who knows if it would have worked (doubt it as it was on hard). Only thing is her immunity to critical given by Ice body or its a undispellable status? That could have made a yyyyyyuge difference in difficulty if it could be dispelled.

When they fix lore nature 3 and you start accessing kingmaker items, including belts of perfection +8, I believe you could steamroll her without much hassle even with all the buffs on.
