I told them to make it a tacticool battle that requires micromanagement in turn-based mode, not to make it annoying!
You really through they can make normal non annoying turn based battle?I told them to make it a tacticool battle that requires micromanagement in turn-based mode, not to make it annoying!
Gold dragon is even worse since it was very clearly written last minute by an intern or something
I know everyone here has been bashing that encounter, but I actually enjoyed it.I told them to make it a tacticool battle that requires micromanagement in turn-based mode, not to make it annoying!
I love the idea that anyone out there might think that asking this question could be considered "stirring up problems". But maybe he was referring to this:Hi, I'm new, so idk if this is considered stirring up problems, but I NEED to ask
Who is Lilura and why did he
Every time you rank up on that mythic path you need to solve 2 memory puzzles and 2 matching symbols puzzles.Nah, instead they should make Nenio dungeon a full mythic path. You headgear gets locked in with Mask of Nothing and every one of your dialogue response gets replaced with "The absence of an answer is an answer too".
Reaching rank 10 allows you to embody Areshakgal's philosophical ideal, and truly become nothing before the vast unknown of the cosmos.Nah, instead they should make Nenio dungeon a full mythic path. I have a revelation for you. You may share it on your next church meeting after the traditional prayer. But come to think of it everything goes downhill after act 4 .Whole act 5 is a joke especially if you don't do Nenio's quest and other puzzle quest.
Oh ok cool. I did think the fallout references were interesting, even if the gameplay seriously harmed my experience. Thanks for answering!I told them to make it a tacticool battle that requires micromanagement in turn-based mode, not to make it annoying!
Being forced into playing a style you don't like is never fun, but go nutsEvery quest that breaks routine is good. If an RTwP fun is forced to play TB that's even better.
Looking forward for it.

At the very least, it requires you to do something different from select all -> left click the enemy. You have to hold your ground against enemies who can dispel your buffs while looking for the best path to avoid every trap. If you move all the characters as a single unit, you will have to go back and forth between the various switches, facing numerous waves of enemies. If you decide to split your party to speed up the process, you will face fewer waves, but you will risk leaving the less tanky characters undefended. You can also use teleportation spells to cheat the whole encounter, and anything that gives a reason and a chance to use Dimension Door in combat is a welcomed addition in my book.
It's not like this encounter is a masterpiece, but I'd still take it over all the copypasted uninspired and non-challenging fights in Iz or the Ineluctable Prison.

I would like to point out that we have had the first full week with no patches after the release.
No chance for something like "Lethal" trait? Most of them are underwhelming on weapons. No 'greater speed', no 'sonic dmg'. Typically you would get something lile 'X bane' (vermin bane, plant bane, construct bane, good outsider bane...), and then some kind of elemental damage.
If you reach Mythic Rank 10 and do the secret ending you can skip to Owlcat's Pathfinder 3: The Mummy's Mask with a brand new reincarnation of your character. And fight 20 mummies and 5 sphinxes.Every time you rank up on that mythic path you need to solve 2 memory puzzles and 2 matching symbols puzzles.Nah, instead they should make Nenio dungeon a full mythic path. You may consider it a house rule - as with the Crane feats chain - and build your characters basing on this. If they buff it you will be for a pleasant surprise; otherwise, you have nothing to lose.I would like to point out that we have had the first full week with no patches after the release.
And no Ice Prison strength DC fix...

There are polar rays, and you can make any elemental spell cold to have stormbolts of cold, for example. Or cold sirocco - like a winter storm. Is a awful homebrew rule which ruins my ideal Azata Cryomancer build... There are no reason to a elemental specialist to chose anything besides fire and electricity.

The swarms can't move and attack in the same turn (they could in the release version but thankfully that's one of the first bugs owlcat patched), so if you play turn based they should never damage you if you can just keep moving. So i picked up this game got to level 10 drezen finished a few times before giving into inevitable and doing a solo run because the lack of party management gives me motivation.
Metamorph feels designed for solo, you get death ward, freedom of movement, spell resistance and resist energy and turn into dragon 2 10 times a day by end.
61 Ac came disturbingly easy and with 40 str damage resist kind of doesn't matter, i thought i was immortal until i got murdered by a tick swarm, i was forced to turn into a human to cast tsunami twice from scrolls to kill a tick swarm while i ignored the giants missing me then turned back into the dragon to kill them.
I normally don't mind swarms but what bullshit stupid fuck designed a con draining every turn swarm immune to everything but aoe casts, its not fun its just retarded, i don't even mind the level drain everywhere because you can resist that with spells but " whoops the tickswarm is immune to everything but aoe spells and drain 1d4 con per turn enjoy"
I am enjoying this game but the some of the stupid fucking encounters are annoying, i ran into the fun event of picking fight encounter on world map only to be teleported within threat range of an undead mammoth, god i hate the devs sometimes, that's not fun that's just skip the encounter.
Edit: also call me a dumbfuck i don't get the elven tile puzzles, all the others so far sure i get them, the fucking tiles? i have no idea.
