Gold dragon is even worse since it was very clearly written last minute by an intern or something

Yeah, sadly. Worst part of the game is late game mythic paths. But come to think of it everything goes downhill after act 4 .Whole act 5 is a joke especially if you don't do Nenio's quest and other puzzle quest.
Just like Kingmaker.

I told them to make it a tacticool battle that requires micromanagement in turn-based mode, not to make it annoying!
I know everyone here has been bashing that encounter, but I actually enjoyed it.

At the very least, it requires you to do something different from select all -> left click the enemy. You have to hold your ground against enemies who can dispel your buffs while looking for the best path to avoid every trap. If you move all the characters as a single unit, you will have to go back and forth between the various switches, facing numerous waves of enemies. If you decide to split your party to speed up the process, you will face fewer waves, but you will risk leaving the less tanky characters undefended. You can also use teleportation spells to cheat the whole encounter, and anything that gives a reason and a chance to use Dimension Door in combat is a welcomed addition in my book.

It's not like this encounter is a masterpiece, but I'd still take it over all the copypasted uninspired and non-challenging fights in Iz or the Ineluctable Prison.

Hi, I'm new, so idk if this is considered stirring up problems, but I NEED to ask
I love the idea that anyone out there might think that asking this question could be considered "stirring up problems". But maybe he was referring to this:

Who is Lilura and why did he

Nah, instead they should make Nenio dungeon a full mythic path. You headgear gets locked in with Mask of Nothing and every one of your dialogue response gets replaced with "The absence of an answer is an answer too".

Every time you rank up on that mythic path you need to solve 2 memory puzzles and 2 matching symbols puzzles.

Reaching rank 10 allows you to embody Areshakgal's philosophical ideal, and truly become nothing before the vast unknown of the cosmos.

Your character and all save-files associated with them are then deleted.

I have a revelation for you. You may share it on your next church meeting after the traditional prayer.

The more content of any game you skip, the worse the game becomes.

Shocking, huh?

Why is every Nenio puzzle so damn tedious. Even her personal quest is a long dungeon filled with the same tedious puzzles and a billion trash mobs.

I usually like puzzles, but in WoTR the puzzles seem to be made overwrought just for the sake of it, with the lack of feedback resulting often in wondering if you ran into a bug or did something wrong.

Oh ok cool. I did think the fallout references were interesting, even if the gameplay seriously harmed my experience. Thanks for answering!
Every quest that breaks routine is good. If an RTwP fun is forced to play TB that's even better.

Looking forward for it.
Being forced into playing a style you don't like is never fun, but go nuts

Enjoy what you like. I was extremely lucky to have a lot of dimensional door scrolls with me so I could skip running around into enemies and traps over and over, but the demons were still annoying and the whole thing took way too long to complete.

Also, the only results that came up when googling his/her name was a debate thread and I really didn't want an argument, just answers.

Most of them are underwhelming on weapons. No 'greater speed', no 'sonic dmg'. Typically you would get something lile 'X bane' (vermin bane, plant bane, construct bane, good outsider bane...), and then some kind of elemental damage.
No chance for something like "Lethal" trait?

And fight 20 mummies and 5 sphinxes.
If you reach Mythic Rank 10 and do the secret ending you can skip to Owlcat's Pathfinder 3: The Mummy's Mask with a brand new reincarnation of your character.

LOL. Mummy's Mask would be interesting TBH. I was thinking that their next game will gonna be Iron Gods but after everyone hated BlackWater, I think that they will go Rise of the Runelords or something more vanilla.

I would like to point out that we have had the first full week with no patches after the release.

And no Ice Prison strength DC fix...
You may consider it a house rule - as with the Crane feats chain - and build your characters basing on this. If they buff it you will be for a pleasant surprise; otherwise, you have nothing to lose.

Is a awful homebrew rule which ruins my ideal Azata Cryomancer build... There are no reason to a elemental specialist to chose anything besides fire and electricity.

So i picked up this game got to level 10 drezen finished a few times before giving into inevitable and doing a solo run because the lack of party management gives me motivation.

Metamorph feels designed for solo, you get death ward, freedom of movement, spell resistance and resist energy and turn into dragon 2 10 times a day by end.

61 Ac came disturbingly easy and with 40 str damage resist kind of doesn't matter, i thought i was immortal until i got murdered by a tick swarm, i was forced to turn into a human to cast tsunami twice from scrolls to kill a tick swarm while i ignored the giants missing me then turned back into the dragon to kill them.

I normally don't mind swarms but what bullshit stupid fuck designed a con draining every turn swarm immune to everything but aoe casts, its not fun its just retarded, i don't even mind the level drain everywhere because you can resist that with spells but " whoops the tickswarm is immune to everything but aoe spells and drain 1d4 con per turn enjoy"

I am enjoying this game but the some of the stupid fucking encounters are annoying, i ran into the fun event of picking fight encounter on world map only to be teleported within threat range of an undead mammoth, god i hate the devs sometimes, that's not fun that's just skip the encounter.

Edit: also call me a dumbfuck i don't get the elven tile puzzles, all the others so far sure i get them, the fucking tiles? i have no idea.

I am proud that they preserved the swarms, but put them farther away from game jorrnos.

However, some codexers play on the same level as jornos. It's kind of understandable, but sad.

There are polar rays, and you can make any elemental spell cold to have stormbolts of cold, for example. Or cold sirocco - like a winter storm.

I do understand how the broken crane feats made every melee a closet Wushu master. I don't understand how one spell - however powerful - can ruin the entire build.

No elemental conversion from elemental specialist only converts the first hit of sirroco and polar ray, not only requires a ranged touch attack but also deals way less damage than other spells. Also, converting a spell damage doesn't increase teh DC with the feats.

Ice Prison is very nerfed in game. Like, NWN2 original levels of nerf.

The swarms can't move and attack in the same turn (they could in the release version but thankfully that's one of the first bugs owlcat patched), so if you play turn based they should never damage you if you can just keep moving.

I am gonna say it, the game does not feel designed for turn based, i had it on a couple of times but it just feels slow, too many trash enemies i think when i am fighting 30 ghouls or 20 gargoyles or the entire ivory sanctum i just want to sit back and watch them die not click click click, i'll try turn based next time i see a swarm but i'll be honest if they can't move and attack in a single turn that feels....wrong, like it was changed to stop complaints and not the fix the underlying reason of swarms of diminutive size basically making half the party useless at any given time, mixed with so many immunities.

The Xanthir fight was actually fine even turn into acid dragon breath acid everywhere, it was just the con drain on ticks that annoyed me no real way to resist it. i did not even realize first time had cloak of skinner thought i was con draining it until i died.
