Throat is sore, please send medicine.

I think there's already hailing, Saint. Pushing T while targeting a ship will bring up a conversation menu.

Pushing Tab for me always seems to bring up the most hostile ship, but I have to clear the scan with E if I'm targeting a friendly ship.

Check out my massive package.
Beta Blocker? Are we a newly recruited molecule of psychotropic pharmecuticals, out to stop theoretically unpleasant brain juices from making the individual in question feel uncomfortable in social situations?

Oh, it's a space game. Lame.

Great fun, it would be better if i didn't keep getting assraped in my luna everytime i come anywhere near outlying planets.

character customization would be great. i dig my little pos ship, the terrible monday. the idea of cruising through space in a dingy freighter, running drugs across the galaxy is simply heaven. i don't want to upgrade, i get attached to things.

this game comes with a plot? where? bonus!

I haven't encountered anything remotely like a plot, im still loving the game though.

I can't believe I haven't tackled any games like this before i'm enjoying this one way too much.

I'll make him an offer he can't refuse.

I got a special mission after gaining favor with the Sol Police. I wasted a bunch of Outcasts and then went to Earth, and was offered a special mission to retrive an opperative in Heldon.

regarding the name... if anyone happens to think of a better one im all open ears (eyes). hailing is in there but not to a great degree. that plot in there is just a test plot but it does involve a very very large battle so make sure you have a pretty good ship. if you survive you get a cool 2 million credits tho ;). ermm, if you say no to it it will pop back in after some random number of revisits to earth while you're still friends with police.

One small tip, I have a carriers ship with 12 banks of nova blasters full with ai support fighters and an escort of a bunch of other carriers but when I demand tribute the planets just laugh me off. You should allow the player to take control of entire planets, or maybe build stations in zones with no stellar objects.

Behind you.
Building stations for things like generating trade income or mining or even defense is something I wanted in Freelancer and EVN. There's a lot of places without stellar objects that you could use to make little bases and such.

planet tribute demand is based solely on combat ability and not on ship worth or what equipment you have.

the idea of building stations and such is interesting but i need to figure on a cost/reward basis. it will take some time to create the ability to make your own bases and such but i have a hard time figuring out how that could really add to the gameplay. say you build a station out there and it generates some credits for you, then what? i guess i could make it so that everything can be treated as territory and you can take other planets and they can take yours and such but then ill be creating a whole new game. and the reason my game is always 90% done is because i keep adding new features. ive actually thought about adding the whole thing cause i thought itd be cool but it doesnt appeal to me at the moment cause im getting tired of programming this, haha. thanks for the idea tho.

My tummy hurts.

If you push Esc, then options and then controls, you can see all the button configurations. It's not a help file, but it's all pretty self-explanatory.

Has anyone actually bought a capitol ship. I find buzzing one in a speedy maxed out exi wraith, hammering it with heavy missiles, and then boarding it usually does the trick.

Stations could work as immobile weapon boats, to aid you in combat while near them. A good game to see stations working is Galactic Civilizations, but the styles of game are completely different

Disappointingly I'm experiencing a memory error that occurs as soon as you start the game. However, I have hope that the next version will work fine! :)

Also on a station you could have different ships that you could trade out. Sometimes I feel like shooting around in a speeder others I feel like blasting the crap out of a system in a carrier. It would be beyond sweet if you could store different ships at your own personal station and swap them out when you need.

Two times two is four. You don't want my eyes open, do you?

I finally conquered my first planet, Mede. 3,000 a day isn't bad, but I can't believe I still have to pay for fuel and repair there! Geez.

Freespace 2 is straight up combat and that's why I love it. Me, my fighter, my useless wingmen, the odd Terran cap ship and the goddamn Shivan armada.

beta blocker seems to crash a lot when I 'release' a ship after boarding it. I get random memroy access errors, but most of the times when I release my ship.

That said, how do I pick up the story? I'm playing 0.9.9.0 and got accepted into the Freelancer Union and the Predators, but that's about it.

How does Beta Blocker improve on EV Nova? I like the fact that it's 3d, the ships and backgrounds look bigger than in Nova, and that it's free (so far). Anything else?
