Maybe. I can't stream though man 1mbit upload speed, but I may record myself playing, I haven't decided yet.

Probably not the first playthrough though because I'd rather just sit and enjoy it without having to talk.

You so can! Be a real tease and set the upload resolution to 480x320 with the mic off and bask in the screams of rage and agony as people try to watch your stream and work out what your doing!

I tried telling those guys to use https://www.knaldtech.com/ to render out their stuff super fast, but initially it was in beta. Now it's been out like a yr and gives very good quality renderings like 500x faster than some traditional methods. I wish their website had current work on there, but those are all old beta images in their gallery.

knald ain't no option if they need render outputs for scenes with tris in the billions. first and foremost it's a super fast texture baking application which lacks the features of other render engines like mental ray, vray, brazil, modo renderer, etc. such apps are only used in a single asset pipeline.
their "heightmap" especially is a channel (y or z, green or blue - whatever maya uses as the upward axis) of the world coordinates output such baking solutions simply can't render.

So which will be more embarrassing, this or D:OS's tree?

Also people won't notice but Felicia Day and Wil Wheaton are in the beta as well in a painting on the wall of the inn.

Well fuck you for telling me.

Hey, thats actually not a bad try.
You put some effort into that one. Only of course it isnt true and the true motive of it is just screaming butthurt and hypocrisy.

But really, why would i listen to Sensuki story from his birth ?
Isnt that like one of the old joke about "when it all started"?
Do you feel you need to protect him from bad evil Hiver for some reason?

What are you, pinkknighting?

It either needs to be removed with a mod or there should be a quest in the game to destroy the memorial.

Sensuki, Bester Please remove this crap in your mod.

Either re-write the title "Memorials" into "Fan-Service" or "Backer Tribute", because these memorials are nothing like the ones in Nashkel nor do they fit into the frame of the lore...

.... or re-write the text to fit with the lore/setting:

e.g.
"Tazntaylr: A long time [X]. He had loved it so much, that he died holding [Y] with a firm grip. His wife had to pry it from his cold dead hands, whilst his voice lingered in her thoughts 'I do love real life too!'."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memorial

[X] = Wizard?
[Y] = his Grimoire?

Though, this message may be really disrespectful if those are real-life memorials (Actual memorials of people who have passed away, and if that is the case I am truly sorry, but that one in the picture doesn't look like a memorial whatsoever. It looks like something written by a person who is alive and well, and furthermore, doesn't fit into the game at all).

I pay my respect to these backers for backing and investing in the project, but I don't feel very respectful towards the writing... you get what I mean?

I don't remember what I wrote regarding the memorial

It was 2:00 am though I was drunk and the deadline was up so I just wrote something hazy and called it a night. Its probably equally terrible.

I should correct myself and say this memorial entry (I said "these"). And the names of "z0mB!3" and "TEH-PANIZZER" I suppose.

In anticipation of the release I finally played through the Beta. I played a few encounters every patch to see the progress but never the entire beta. So here my impessions/expectations.

Combat
Combat has really grown on me. Had a lot of fun with the combat in the beta. Combat being bad was my biggest fear. I feel that Obsidian has in the end managed to create an interesting, tactical combat system where posititoning is crucial. I play with auto-pause on combat start, then activate slow mode and find it very good to manage after that with the occasional pause (I play on normal). For me biggest problem remains the visibility (mostly caused by the camera perspective).

Note though, I always avoid using exploits in games. So all these things that bother Sensuki dont bother me at all because I play as they expect me to play (if that makes sense).

World/lore/vibe
Obsidian has created an interesting twist on classical fantasy settings. Most of all its very well developed and believable based on the little I have seen in the beta.

Other things
- Dead animation of wurms is awesome
- Firearms feel and sound great
- monsters in general are pretty cool, the vithrak thing, the sporewalkers etc are all pretty unique
- wizard spell dimensional swift is cool
- rogue invisibity is great to hunt down and kill casters in the back

- Auto slow on combat would be very useful for me!

Classes
Favorite classes (feel and usefullness): druid, rogue, chanter
Good but bit boring: fighter, wizard, priest, paladin
Don't like: ranger, barbarian
Don't know how to play: monk (get knocked out all the time)
Havent played: cipher

I will probably play a human rogue since the other good classes are covered by companions.

Overall: I expect nothing less tbut the best rpg in many many years.

So I'm pretty dang sure they've locked day one patch down now, or you think they'll be working on that until the last minute? I wonder how long from day one patch and the next one will be?
