It was okay till now but they want 200k for what CDPR gives as a free DLC? Cmon Obs.....
Fuck are you talking about, Witcher 3 had an insanely higher budget and sold insanely more than PoE did or PoE2 is likely to. A forum this cynical is the last place I'd have expected to see people swallowing CDPR's "16 free DLC(such as beard styles and a bimbo outfit for your girlfriend)!!!" PR stunt.

Strap Yourselves In Pathfinder: Wrath
She wasn't that bad of a character when compared to BioWareian standards, but she was a bit trying-too-hard. She had some good content, but the way that character was thought out and presented ("Dumb, yet intelligent and cunning!") turned off a lot of people.

But she wasn't the "patriarchy is the devul!" character. That was Eb.
It sounds like all of Tyanny's companions were try-hards in some way or another.

Indeed.

It was really irritating how she was presented as being so awesome and cool and everyone wanting to bang her. Still, she was a useful mage, so I always used her.

I didn't go through all the dialogue with her - is there an option to explicitly call her out on that misandristic bullshit?

It sounds like all of Tyanny's companions were try-hards in some way or another.

Lantry was okay. But for some reason, all the other NPCs disliked him. I also heard good things about Siren, but didn't play with her much.

So they're basically replacing the optional Weapon Focus talents with a mandatory system which enables the player to create their own Weapon Focus talent. I remember reading a suggestion like that from in the Obsidian boards.

"Sleight of hand"? So we have some kind of pickpocketing?

If not pickpocketing, it might be a burglary skill for looting containers in people's houses without getting caught. Although TBH if they're going that far, they could make it pickpocket too. Make it deterministic with a mouse-over skill requirement display so it's not a savescumming thing.

In PoE1 that was covered with a dexterity check. Wonder what that means for attribute checks - will sleight of hand fail if your dexterity isn't high enough?

Knowing JS, probably not.

I guess attributes will give some initial points to relevant skills, similar to Fallout. Progression, exploration & factions also hinted to be like NV...

Edit: I asked Josh about progression & exploration in the stream & Josh's been talking about how will factions be for a while now.

We've hit the next stretch goal! Thank you so much for your contributions to make NPC Portraits, UI Customization and Italian localization possible. We are now are planning to add portraits for every quest giving NPCin the game. This is going to add hundreds of unique watercolor portraits to enhance the experience when conversing with NPCs. In addition, we also will have a full suite of UI Customization features that will be added to the game. Lastly, now our Italian friends can enjoy Pillars of Eternity II in their nativeItalian.

We all love new concept art. We would like to share the artwork for a new monster in the game called the Engwithan Saint which you can find, and fight, in the desert dungeon featured in our screenshots and video.

Tomorrow we will have an update focused on lore with new information about the Deadfire, announce our next stretch goal at 2.6m, and introduce a new content feature that we are very excited about. Again, thank you so much from everyone on the team.

So fixing the graphic was taking longer than expected and they couldn't make the cutoff for today?

The concept art is nice, but I thought Engvywwvywarthans were supposed to be local to the Eir Glanfath area.

And now that update has been removed again (along with the tweet), probably for all the screwed up missing spaces in it.

And now fig is down.

They're not having a good Monday.

Me too. Personally, would have liked another "mysterious, ancient civilization" - surely there was something else in the world besides Engwithians.

To be honest the 16 DLCs included also various side quests but you are right that the projected commercial success of Witcher 3 was much bigger.

Site is back up. Update #8 is still missing though.

And now #8 is up, with the many typos fixed.

Whew. What an exciting day. :D

Wtf is happening :D

Maybe they decided in the last moment to put a ship\stronghold related stretch goal as next, so they'll show it tomorrow along with the ship reveal\update.

This seems a good reason to explain such chaos

Just saw this, Ofc it was great PR stunt of CDPR but 200K for NG+ stretch goal sounds good to you?

I couldn't care less about NG+ and don't particularly want it to be a stretch goal, or something that's in the game, at all. That said, a stretch goal doesn't mean "it's going to cost us exactly this much to put this in the game"

Yeah but it means "ıt's going to cost us "around" this much to put this in the game". Could be 150k, might go over 200k for a partcular feature. But I don't think it would cost even half of whats asked.

Sounds fabulous to me. The less ambitious the stretch goals, the less likely they'll be to trip over them.

That's the 100th time that's been said and I agreed with it on prev. SGs but the last one(which has been taken down).

Yeah, plus it will probably come out a lot faster with these sort of quality of life stretch goals, rather than with 5 new cities and 3 megadungeons. I know everyone dreams of a game a size of BG2, but after playing WM2 I have decided that quality>quantity. With PoE1 profits and figstarter money they could probably put out a 100-150h RPG, but I would rather have 50 hour tightly polished game with perfected mechanics and polished user experience.
