not all points are in the open. some facility support one playstyle more than the others. biodome is infantry only for example.

only the inside areas obviously(there are open adjacent facilities that house teleporters and control spawn rooms inside the dome* that can be capped

even then that didn't stop people from bombing the areas close to the pads before AA buff/rocket nerf patch, I think people still bomb deployed galaxies

Got bored instantly. Tried again later in a squad. That was part of a platoon. That actually worked together. At first the dude talking constantly was annoying but I quickly found out that all the orders he did shout made sense and ran with it. Took over nearly half the map in a few hours of gameplay. Shit was cash and all that. Fun to find real teamwork in a shooter.

Was afraid the entire map would be small areas closed in by mountains but fortunately there are open plains as well. Game has lots of fun bugs to make your day. The one where your guns disappear is currently my fav.

And I'm playing as a teabagger rebel dude. Fuck commies and academics.

mechanics? there's a bunch of points in the map tied to a bunch of areas you have to take over

you stand on the points to start capping them(which starts a timer that goes faster depending on how many points and adjacent areas you have, while other factions have their own timer), though you can't cap some some bases without having adjacent bases or some shit

areas give you money and resources and are alternate places for spawning your shit

closest thing to winning is locking enemies in their warpgate (semi-impenetrable spawn area) for now

It's Battlefield 3 on a relatively big map (supergiant compared to BF3 maps)

Gunplay is like BF3. Then you have all kinds of vehicles and airplanes. You get unlocks for XP (except you can select which ones). You form squads, you capture points. When you hold all of them the building starts to give you resources. Move onto the next area with resource building.

Basically capture points gameplay.

Has no health regen though and if you are getting killed and there's no spawn point nearby (squads need to deploy beacons or use an APC) so medics are crucial. As is teamwork.

Unfortunately there's not much of a latter.

From what I've heard if you're not going to pay the sub you might as well not bother at all.

While I do think the art direction on stuff like settlements, characters and vehicles is rather meh, the game sometimes shines when it comes to the enviroments. Racing along as a boardgunner through an alien blasted desert was cool.

Game is buggy as fuck tho. New fun ones is not being able to see your squad on the map and having the UI do funky stuff.
