Predict the standard Bioware TWIST in DA.

As we all know Bioware are very fond of their 'Twists' in their games.

Baldurs Gate had the twist where you find out that GASP, you are a bhaalspawn.

Baldurs Gate 2 had the shocking twist where you find out that Imoen is a bhaalspawnette.

KOTOR had the utterly obvious twist which had you as Revan.

Jade Empire had the twist where your master turned out to be Deaths Hand and becomes the ultimate nemesis.

So what do you think Dragon Age's twist will be?

Everything will be a twist in DA; it's part of their "dark and gritty" package.

That's easy...

Spoiler Warning...

Loghain turns out to be a traitor...

or

It is the Chantry that is behind the Blight....

Why else would the Chantry teach about mages going to Heaven darkening the soul of men, blaming the mages for what the Chantry did...

This is just a guess, of course...

My guesses:

Loghain is a traitor.

Morrigan's mother, The Witch of the Wilds, (or maybe even Morrigan herself) is in cahoots with whatever evil Old Ones worshipping wizard is raising the darkspawn.

You will travel to Heaven and Hell in the game.

There will be a cutscene with you riding a Grey Warden griffon you have liberated from Hell.

You will meet Cailan in the underworld; perhaps you will have to convince him that you didn't cause his death, and if you don't, you will fight him. Maybe he even becomes a supernatural nemesis-- not unlike that noob Witcher in TW.

The smarmy NPC companion will betray you.

The Darkspawn turns out to be an evil alien lifeform that invaded the planet. You find out that it originated from a mutation of one of the messed up spawn of Commander Shepherd who had fucked just one alien too many.

I think you guys are reaching here. The TWIST! is going to be even more obvious.

Your Gray Warden master is the villain.

Having dragon age be one of the planets in the Mass effect universe would be a pretty shocking twist!

What was the big twist in mass effect btw?

Eh eh. Yeah, I remember how obvious that was in the very introduction.

But you forgot the incredible twist in Throne of Bhaal where Melissan turns out to be the main villain ! Who could possibly have expected that ? (Aside from people who aren't blind idiots, I mean.)

The Citadel was a trap.

For Dragon Age, I suppose the Grey Wardens are somehow causing the blight, either inadvertently, or on purpose. And you are Maric, suffering from amnesia.

There will be no twist.

Whole plot; your mission, goal, villain, etc... will be revealed within first 5 minutes in a cut-scene. Everything else will be just mowing through hordes to get to the Final Boss.
