Make the Codex Great Again!
that's why they recommend not to use mail for 2fa
instead use third party apps that are totally safe and have no backdoors
Use opensource 2-FA like winauth which doesn't require phone.
ok that's a totally reasonable solution to a non existent problem

that's really what this is about

there is no problem and the solution to it is to install an app on my PC and jump through hoops

reminder: there is no problem

Reminder: you can have true 2FA without being asked to use codes every month. This is the point people take issue with, not 2FA itself. Monthly codes don't improve security. Google hasn't asked me for a code in over a year because I haven't cleared my cookies and it knows what device I'm using.

What we have on the Codex is a retard's version of the 2FA with hacked Authy app in recommendations.

Can't you just edit the cookie 'cdx_tfa_trust' to never expire? I haven't tried it yet because I'm not bothered by clicking my mouse twice a month but that might be an option for you if you're so bothered by it.

Aegis should be the first recommendation for Android. You don't need to create an account for it.

Any recent changes with this annoying 2FA? For the last 24h I was forced to enter it like 5 times already, between two different devices (work Mac & personal phone). Extremely annoying.

The mobile version of the site seems to be having problems. You can't delete posts and sometimes the overlays are all fucked up, preventing image inserting and the like. Sometimes the page freezes completely after having been zoomed in until it's reloaded.

Tie the 2FA to keepass instead of email, it can generate codes.

The 30 Day restriction really annoys me, that's worse than banks.

I don't preserve cookies, can we instead be prompted to type something like the YWNBARW copypasta or type slurs used to describe various ethnic and/or religious groups instead? Perhaps we could be forced to pick the gender of a person after viewing a photograph of them.

Instead of this 2fa bullshit, it should show a random ad&d stat spread and a random ad&d class and give you 5 seconds to allocate the stats for maximum efficiency. Every user who fails this test should get banned for 30 days.
