Rance's prose level is not very high as far as VNs go. You won't have to worry that you're missing out on some really poetic writing

I talked about fan translation. It's no fun when it's official translation. With fan translation you can see all that blood that was used to translate a game too scary and pedo to be released in non-Japanese countries.

Official translations are likely to kill more brutal jokes.
