I was hoping that with all the bug fixing it might turn our as a MMX-style take on the original Blade of Destiny, but it looks like it is still pretty bad. Plus they still sell it for 20 bucks. No thanx.

I'm pretty sure the devs said they were done with this game and would move on to the next one even before the game had been pulled from Steam.

I just got a key from a bundle. Might as well torture myself for a bit.

Got a key from Bundle Stars as well. Performance is horrible, comparable to MMX (praise Unity). There's still additional stuff on the way in the coming weeks according to a dev on the Steam forum.

Well, technically it doesn't show that, but in such a case, I'm certainly not unhappy that they changed their mind. Whatever the reason behind this move is, it's appreciated. I still haven't played it.

The game, including DLC, is currently available in this relatively cheap bundle, so I can only assume their move is with view on the next release. Not sure whether the reputation can be changed at this point though.

It isn't Star Trail but something additional for BoD. Just wait for it :

Well, they're probably not doing it for free. Perhaps they've (somehow) managed to receive funding for doing Star Trail, so they're now continuing to patch up their engine before they get started on that. Or maybe there's going to be a console version after all, lol

Better is better I suppose regardless of the ways and means in a case like this---it took Beamdog until IWD EE to pretty much get BG I and II EE pretty well situated, so if this is the much stranger labor needed for this lot to get their foundations in order for Star Trail, well, so be it.

The world will hopefully never see a...stranger...post-release life cycle than RoA HD though.

Has anyone done an LP of this? It is pretty bad. Not in terms of bugs, but in terms of presentation. I am still in Thorwal but will continue on.

The combat GUI is my biggest beef with the game, really. 1. The fact that you can't move the camera with your mouse. 2. The character portraits at the bottom don't light up when it's their turn. 3. You have to mouse over enemies to see their hitpoints.

I have it on good authority that the console version is still being developed. Something to look forward to for those lazy Sundays on the couch.

Bubbles got it right, the console versions are indeed under development and their release is scheduled for end of July. Enjoy a totally new immersive experience in VR.
