witcher 1, the itemization is spot on ( you get few but noticeable upgrades to your weapons/armor inspired from the books).
build variety is lacking, i recommend using the FSR mod.

theres like 2 or 3 armors in the game and often nothing without the witcher moveset is worth using when it comes to weapons.

I wouldnt call that very good.

althought to be fair, itemization is a weak point in the whole trilogy.

I also hated most quests in Tw1 and build systems never go well with witcher

yes, the swords you get are substantial upgrades and they are spaced out. in witcher 2/3 you play inventory simulation with the costant loot drops.
i found the quests in 1 quite good, many having alternative ways to solve them and are thematically proper.

Donno what controls you were going for, but pure keyboard is best.

Weird Wars 2 (also known as Jak rozpętałem II Wojnę Światową: Nieznane przygody Franka Dolasa) has all these things, but not available in English.

Also not trash like the original game, which is available in English.

Baldur's Gate
3
Idk if its serious or not, but the only place ive ever heard shitting on BG 3 was the codex, still havent played tho
Baldur's Gate 3's writing is a bit messed up. Even excluding SJWs, the writing sometimes falls apart. This is a characteristic of developers who pursue a cutscene method like BioWare. However, NPC/environment interaction is outstanding among recent CRPGs. Some quests are also good at times. Although it is concentrated in Chapter 1.
