It's rather obscure actually and just an off-hand throw-in but the achievement you're trying to work out and the missing achievement are both achieved in the same way.

Too bad I had to go out a couple of times yesterday, else I would've been the fifth to complete it. 17 attempts, my; 16 horrible deaths or ragequits! And I see I'm one of the 10 people who USED poor Andhaira's DEAD corpse. Also, I assume 14 minutes is the time of my final playthrough, which makes the game quite short, really. Too short. Still, I wonder how many people would've beaten the game if dbx hadn't posted his walkthrough...

All in all, I really liked this year's 1st April, even if DU didn't have the time to implement multiple solutions and the like.

Game was fun, however it got a little bit tedious with the many instant deaths and having to redo it from the beginning. Mostly because of the time it took to move between each room, waiting several seconds for each room in a long corridor. I for example died several times from impatience when going from the room with the leather coat since I would enter "W" and then since it didn't seem to work properly tried to enter it again, only to find that the server had recognized both inputs which ended with me ending in the room with the trolls. A couple of times I also hit N instead of S by mistake and ended in the guard room and got busted, annoying.

Well I guess I'm one if the 31 that did finish any way, despite being both killed by a vagina and by the multi headed dick in search of the pills.

I think I wandered around the maze a bit before I manned up and realized I'd have to map it out, and I think I reset so that I could do so in a replicable fashion. Or possibly I was curious if I missed a way to free the prisoner that the trolls dragged in.

Most of my deaths came from getting busted by trolls. Part of the issue was that the game had a few quirks with my (idiosyncratic) Chrome installation, so e.g. when I typed "N" or "W" it would sometimes send me in that direction twice, to my death. It took me a while to figure out what was going on; initially, I was wondering (a) if the trolls were on some sort of patrol schedule, or (b) if there was some key item I'd missed buried in the maze, which was necessary to proceed without risking death.

Worried about (b), I Googled a few key terms and found a partial walkthrough in the forums here. (I think it was written by Xor? It ended with him following the path to the Library.) The instructions were helpful for retracing my steps up to the gate, but the walkthrough got me killed repeatedly if I tried to follow it afterward. (It omitted some steps you need to complete your disguise in the troll area.) That's what I get for trying to cheat, I guess. Anyway, once I switched to IE and stopped trying to use the walkthrough, I figured out the rest of the game with comparatively little pain. Although my childhood trauma with Zork II and III made me worry that the ring would be required at some point down the road, so I made sure to find it on all of my last few attempts, resulting in me spending way more time in Retardo Land than was necessary.

So, uh, I think we can all agree the zerging corpse shield explanation was better!

Fun game. Frustrating and a bit tedious. Could have used a save feature of some kind. A quest compass would have been nice too :D . I liked the descriptions and humor. Made me laugh.
