Idea: wasn't to make the most violent game, it was more to confront the player with video game violence and it's triviality to the players conscience.
Story: Unclear, there are many theories about the story and it's unanswered questions, but that was dev intention.

Old leaders and members of old Codex dynasties spending time on Lightning Returns and Undertale, with each article lowering Moral Authority of codex religion(s) by a few percent. Like heretic religions of one single religion branching out of it.
