Yup. The arbitrary restrictions devalue the poll. And I say this although I think that at least the top 5 wouldn't change, probably not even the top 10.

Judging by a preliminary counting of my pool a few weeks ago, jRPGs would start around #40, and only Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy 6, Chrono Trigger and maybe Dark Souls/SMT:Nocturne would get on the list.
