Would be a lot cooler if you used just the generals with a more complex abstract system to fight large scale battles and provide support for the dragon, who would be used with a relatively small number of elite force squads for missions of kritikal importance. Like space marines but with dragons.

Certainly more fun than watching a porridge of unit icons flowing downhill towards each other

Says the person recommending Brütal Legend to unsuspecting innocents.

Only time I 'recommended' Brutal Legend was to Lund when he could get it for like $1-2 by upping his payment in a Humble Bundle and suggested cards would pay for it. I never recommended the game on the basis of its quality.

Guys, there are good RTS games out there. Total War is enough reason.
Total War is some boring shit.

Your imagination is boring shit. Playing strategy + RTS combat is building a story. A good game in the genre is one that allows you to do it right. Read Rome and Medieval AARs out there.
