1). When should I consider a game "released"? What if a game is available in one major market (we'll ignore the fact that the UK is a major market) but not others? What if it's never released in one major market...should the game be forever flagged "not released".
When it's released in the English INTERNATIONAL, or US market.

2). Why don't you support these multiple markets you're so worried about. Q1-2004 for Seal of Evil? Is that US, UK, Botswana?

You still missed the point. The article in in English. I'm an English writer. The primary language of the site is English. The Fall ISN'T AVAILABLE IN ENGLISH.
There's no disputing that The Fall should be on that list. But if you're gonna put The Fall on that list even though it's already released in plenty of other markets, games like Kult and Seal of Evil should also be on that list because they're only available in England at the moment, not anywhere else. I might be wrong about Kult, as it might be available internationally (or in Europe), but Seal of Evil is only available in England and China. It's not even available in most of Asia, for that matter.

*blinks* So you want me to invent Seal of Evil coverage? I did a hands-on preview, organised a giveaway and have a review underway. I contacted GMX and posted an update when the UK release date was missed. That no other sites are intested in SoE or that GMX did a poor job promoting it just has nothing to do with RPGDot. What did you do for SoE that was so special? I don't see a bunch of newsbits in your database that I missed.
<sarcasm>Yes, I want you to make up news. DAC did it with STALKER, you should do it too. </sarcasm>

Now, when did I ever suggest making up news? I've only mentioned that your coverage of The Fall's has by far dominated most of your news and overshadowed pretty much every other game on your site, with the exception of KOTOR2.

Seems to me you're just trying to be a jerk.
Hey, maybe I am, but I've still got a good point.

They've been careful to avoid saying that, so I'd love to see your quote. They've also said the engine is basically complete, they're adding content and they're playing the game for the fun of it and not just to catch bugs. I took that last bit with a huge grain of salt, so I was careful to say that Oblivion might not belong there.

Perfectly happy to accept I stretched it on Oblivion but I'm also comfortable that I pointed out I was speculating.
Fair enough, but don't you think it's still a very, very long shot?

I'm going to ignore the rest because I'm comfortable about not including SoE in the article. Or Kult.

No, you didn't start by saying our coverage was dominated by The Fall. You said:

You didn't even give it any coverage last year [...] You might as well take The Fall off the list since it's already out in most German speaking countries if you want to go by the logic that it's 'already released'.

Work with me - it's hard when you can't even get your own points right. Now, since we're a news site, saying we didn't give SoE any coverage pre-supposes there was news we failed to cover. Since there was no news we didn't cover, I guess you accept you were plain wrong. More so given that we did more coverage than anyone.

As for The Fall coverage dominating...righteo. You couldn't back that up on your best day.

As a general point, however, if a developer or publisher keeps us updated or is getting press on the 'net, they'll get coverage because we simply post everything we find. Simple as that.

Yup. Just like any other "comprehensive" news site like Blues or Shacknews, albeit on a smaller scale. In fact, the more the merrier - that's why we are there. Nice try, though.

The really stupid thing is some developers and publishers are too stupid to even release any updates and their game goes unnoticed. Go figure.

A. Your tongue.
B. Your mom's tongue.
C. You being an argumentative, whiny fuck.

Pick one.
