Rumor: New Vegas 2 from Obsidian

Have zero trust on post woke Obsidian, imagine discussing anything serious like different goverment types and their trade offs, how people many times are morally gray and make decisions that make sense on their situation to survive even if not moralistic, how culture needs myths and symbols to make people stick together and how those same myths lead them to inevitable conflict.

I really dont keep my hopes up for anything of that when the Obsidian writing staff look like the typical woke Karen meme stereotype from 4chan.

There'd be no point in Obsidian making "another New Vegas" if they were just going to make it yet another storified open world shooter. At least I don't see one.

Exploration of different avenues of gameplay are already sorely needed.

They should make an isometric tile-based pulpy sci-fi game with crunchy mechanics and light-weight turn based combat. Hand placed loot, bespoke encounters, and pulpy, breezy writing. Sprinkle in adventure game elements for that table-top feel!

More New Vegas 2 rumors from Grubb:



"New Vegas 2" is just a placeholder title for a Fallout game made by Obsidian that adheres to the design principles of New Vegas, not necessarily a game that takes place in the mojave. The justification from MS's side is that with Starfield out this year and TES VI out years later and then Fallout 5 coming out years later from that (estimated 2030 at the earliest), that it'd be good to have a smaller Fallout title released within that time period especially given all the money MS poured into buying Beth. He claims that a turn-based pseudo-isometric take is on the table, but that comes across more as speculation than any actual discussion.
