I call bullshit on this as well. There's gobs of skill choices beyond hit points, damage, and weapon choice. There's various casting skills, skills involving combat arts, forging, and so forth. About the only class that really requires a fairly set build(other than weapon choice) is the Seraphim, and that's basically because the Seraphim isn't very good at melee or magic and has to use both.
