Personally I'm inclined to just play it out, but then again I have a shot at winning because of those cube shenanigans. :)

I think I'd like to see how the conflict between the two of us goes down as is; I have some pretty bad disadvantates (can't get tribute, can't buy new legions, pandemonium has low HP right now) and some good advantages as well.

I also see reasons for and against. Meh. Let us play on. The dilemma presented right now is an interesting one and a fitting finale for the game so far.

PS: I'll be able to post my turn tomorrow. Sorry for the delay.

Yeah, it is normal to start with only two actions per turn. If you really want more, you should upgrade your avatar's stats until one or more is 4 or higher (however, a diabolism/charisma stat over 4 does NOT give you an extra action, because that stat is so useful for gaining tribute). Also, gaining levels in INT/Prophecy gives you more ritual slots.

You need an action to do a ritual though right? and what do rituals do? I've been fooling around trying out stuff in a few games and I still dont understand

Do you have the SI manual? REad the last few pages and it explains what all the rituals do. Also, you do need actions AND free ritual spots to perform a ritual, but having extra slots (in excess of actions) is still useful, because you can put relics in them, which allows you to gain the benefits of said relic without other players seeing that you have them. Otherwise you'd have to place the relic in a site (like your fortress or a PoP) and someone could possibly rob you. :)

If you haven't already, you should prob. upgrade to 1.05

Looks like it could be down to a single dice roll. Too bad Trash is too big of a dork to help you out Heechee; you guys could have taken me out last round if you'd been able to work together on this. :smug:

Well, in pure logical terms he is acting against his interest. In boardgame hobby this particular behavior is called "kingmaking". But then I am used to see people follow sub-optimal strategies based on the whims of their mammalian organic brains, so I am not surprised. What can one do?

Looks like it could be down to a single dice roll.

Single dice roll twice, possibly. Once if you make the correct choice this turn.

The only thing that makes me unhappy is the fact that we won't be able to tell who would have won the long and exciting prestige race had you not intervened :?

Come on dicey!

Sub-optimal for you indeed. If I had helped you the prestige from taking down MisterStone alone would have almost certainly netted you a victory. Now at least things stay exciting to the end. What can I say, I like to gamble...

PS: You do know there is a secret objective that actively encourages "kingmaking"?

I see. But the chance you actually obtained that secret objective in last two turns is extremely low. That's what I base my judgement on.

Perhaps our perception of risks is different then. I would think the most logical way to follow would be to assure continuation of the game by eliminating MisterStone, followed by exploitation of my vulnerable posture in the last 5-8 turns. Now if the roll decides Misterstone is out, you gain nothing by your passive stance, because I will still gain the prestige from his destruction.

At the very moment any player stops trying to win, the game becomes crippled or even completely loses the point.

Well to be fair having Trash intervene by donating cards is kind of a tough proposition. Seems like he could have tried harder to nuke me with destruction rituals or sth though.

Are you actually actively trying to piss me off or is it just something that happens? I couldn't send those resources because the diplomatic option was greyed out. My puny rituals couldn't hit misterstone and my event was already played. My last best option left was to hope the gamble with the dice would pay off which is contrary to all of your assumptions. Now stop being so passive aggressive and have some fun. You can't say this last turn won't be exciting. Logic is so overrated.

1.04 Tell me if it works with the turn I sent you now. If it does, I found a glitch.

Nope, that didn't do it either. I guess you should send your turn in again Trash. Or, should we all update to 1.05, resend turns and see if the bug just goes away?
