Is there anything in the game besides shooting in largely empty environments?
I'm not sure what you mean, a big part of the demo is the traversal and finding a good route to your target while trying to survive. There will be more RPG elements later on but right now you can climb around, those meters to the right are for light and sound, so you can stealth around too. The place also isn't empty, it's full of fucking guards lurking in the shadows waiting to assrape you if you let your guard down. You can find some secret stuff here and there. You can also talk to people, trade with them and get a submission. So if you have something specific in mind then I can address that, but if you want to put it like that then you could, just as you could describe Thief as sneaking around in largely empty environments too. That's what you do, but there's more to it than that. Like the hacking minigame where you mash buttons to guess the password before a timer runs out. Or how much fun you can have with the powers you have and the mantling mechanic.

In LGS fashion you can even find a basketball. So I don't know what you mean by that question if you are aware that it is potato Deus Ex. Seems pretty self-explanatory to me. What else would you do besides those usual things, getting intel, getting into places, killing people, sneaking around, exploring, this is what you do right? It's an immersive sim. If you encounter a locked door you can put an explosive barrel against it and blow it away from the hinges. You can throw something into a dark spot away from you to get guards to investigate it and move away from their patrol route.

There are no long scripted cutscenes like in CP77 and you can't get laid if that's what you're asking.

It's like Gothic/Risen where first chapter is filled with content - reached 30lvl, finised at 40lvl, while other two chapters are lackluster and can be finished in one sitting.

And final boss was turret section, meh.
Some nice scenery here and here.
They released HD version few years later but I don't see difference tbh.

Cloudpunk is a cyberpunk story in a vertical-driving delivery sim with pretty fantastic architecture, and some fun street art.

Endzone is post-nuclear Banished with impressive rain effects. (Though the shimmer of the running water and wet surfaces is somewhat diluted by being captured in a static image.)

Rift Wizard is a coffebreak roguelike with some of the coolest spells I've seen in a while.

MotherMachinae Holy shit that looks fucking bad
It was released in 2010, what did you expected? Some games back then used bloom and other effects to cover things players should not witness. And this game?
This game is bloated with bloom-like effect to cover a LOT of issues, including holes in geometry and whatnot.
Had to use modified .ini file to disable most (all?) of them. Game runs fine not matter what you do, but your GPU radiators would go full speed all the time and it was annoying.

Oh, I mean it looks like a bad game, not graphically bad (though it is ugly, too).

Yeah i also love the detailed interface design. Its the same for their other game, Space Rangers 2 which is another gem you should play if you havent.

It's a shame that most new games have dull and uninteresting interfaces. Feels like good UIs have become a lost art these days.
Space Rangers 2 is superb. Got hundreds of hours in it. It's of the few games that actually manages to have a living, breathing and constantly evolving universe.

Firered playthrough, I was pretty under leveled and still beat everyone..only needed to use 2 revives so yea I consider this one of my more successful ingame teams I've made. I could have done the same effect but with Tauros but fuck that I like kangaskan more and she jives well with the aesthetic of the team.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Screenshots from various Duke Nukem 3D mods from the compilation made by NightFright. It's really convenient for someone like me, who didn't tried any custom levels during the old days to go through them. Some of them didn't age well, or the author thought that using assets from a couple of different games, and putting them on Duke would work. But others feel great and have a really smooth gameplay.

Ah...the memories I have of Duke 3D. One of the greatest shooters ever made.

It was the first game where I played multiplayer over the internet. Those 28K modems...
