Star Trek: Elite Force

It's ridiculous how good the Quake 3 arena engine looks and plays. The game itself is great as well, especially now years later when you appreciate the olden goldies a lot more.
Elite Force 2 is the best looking Quake3 engine game in my view.

The character models are great:

Also The Taravar 7 Industrial area mission and the following Idryll rebel base are the best missions.

Those are some clean graphics. Why can't we get that anymore in games?
Im playing a whole bunch of old games currently, and thats what strikes me the most. The visuals are so readable at a glance, and thus the game is much easier on the eyes. I can see everything importantant in the scene, instead of a diarrhea of fancy effects. AvP2, NOLF, Quake 2, pretty much anything late 90s early 2000s. Best period when it comes to graphics.

New AoW 4 stuff. The art team is doing an excellent job when it comes to unit design.

The new renown and hero skill tree redesign also look more interesting than the old version,

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
That solo dock stealth mission was a pain in that game.

Indeed it takes more time and patience to finish it. Squad members really make game easier, since enemy can't concentrate on a single target. I liked how we go back to the same place later on. The final missions is also hard at the beginning, when we don't have any equipment. Overall FF still holds up, and it would be great to see IO making a proper sequel to close the story.

Oh, we will. Our units' commanders are peak maturity after all...

After the briefing:

It's time to prepare our units:

And occupy the shit out of the Palatinus!

Plot? Basically The Revolution:

Oh, and people claiming this game aged badly, don't know what they're talking about. 'Twas way ahead of its time:
