Awesome game. The kill counts are incredible, even for an arcade game.

I played this game endlessly as a kid. Had it for the SNES where I think the blood stuff was toned down. Great game. Extremely difficult. I could never beat the end boss which broke my little kid-heart :negative:

I think I actually finished Crusaders like three times. It's a decent slasher, really.
I dunno, last time I played it I wandered off to some non-interactive ghost town. Overall the game feels shitty, but at the same time has some certain charm that makes me play it again and again, just like most shitty games I had to play.
I'm also willing to play the PS1 version, since IIRC they're completely different.

I played the PC version which was garbage and I stopped after a couple of hours iirc. But everyone says the PS1 version is alright, yeah.

Like many games of that era, TC was converted to 16-bit consoles. The arcade version has that advantage, that you can toss another "coin" and get over with. Frankly, I can't see anyone finishing it with only one of them. There is no low bar thing here. It's just constant swarming, soldiers are like pissed ants defending their hill. Occasional waves stops, where you need to overcome enemies from all the directions. There aren't many boss fights, but after the first I was glad about it. The green guy took a couple of truckloads of bullets to finally die in bloody explosion. Too bad about toning down the violence, the arcade is filled with blood and flying legs and arms. I can't remember something edgy like that on arcades. Find the rom and mame emulator, it's really worth to finally beat it and cure your heart ache.

Back to business.

Mystic Warriors. It felt like Shinobi on steroids with enemies swarming like crazy. The boss battles weren't so difficult, it was mostly about the good timing and coordination. Very nice soundtrack.

Thanks for all these arcade/side-scrolling games and such niggas. Can't be arsed to play through them myself but I love the graphics.
