ps.
Capcom, pls bring DDO to 'Merica before I break down and buy Black Desert Online.
Pls.
Well, it's free-2-play, so you can use a VPN + the translation patch and play it right now. It's what I did - there's a handy guide here: https://www.reddit.com/r/dragonsdogmaonline/comments/3jydyl/how_to_setup_dragons_dogma_online_on_pc/

But I didn't like it... the MMO logic really kills the charm of the game - feels like everything is railroaded and slowly spoon-fed to you to keep the traditional MMORPG pacing.

Like, that Lv 12 Orc Soldier is just a regular enemy, but he's basically immune to your attacks and will one-shot you until you're ~Lv 10, because the game don't want player skill to rule the game. Similarly, I gave up on the cyclops because he's a boss enemy for a party, so while any DD's veteran can easily evade his attacks, it would take like 30 minutes attacking him to empty that massive HP bar...

The classes are a lot more restrictive too, dungeons are really boring corridors and there aren't that many new enemies, weapons and armor... you'll see a cool orc here, a nice sword there, but mostly see things you've done in the original game already.

I'm done with Front Mission 5 and therefore, with the whole series...

We meet some iconic characters during the final segment...

Well, as a finale of such a great series, FM5 was truly fucking disappointing...

Not that FM games ever had good plots. They pretended to have gray morality, but there always were clear-cut heroes, villains, Umbrella-wannabes and Russians. At least FM5's gameplay was certainly the best one from the series (although I still have to try FM2).

Compared to FM5, previous games' plots were masterpieces. I esp. like 3s (me, my bro and my hot scientist girlfriend / sister vs the entire world) and 4s (romance can bloom on the battlefield).
As for the 2, it has distinctive gameplay (melee >>> everything else), for the 1st time in series weight limits actually matter, and you should use specialised units (melee / gun / rockets), battles are big (multiple enemies, 8 LOL 12 allies). On the other hand, the upgrade system is horrible (thousands of +1 parts) and battle animations take forever (can be disabled). Still, definitely worth plying.
I like the entire series very much, nothing else like it (mecha + political shenanigans + alternative history + military stuff + evil russians / kwans + TB + fucking cyborgs, mang! + whathaveya). May it RIP in peace. :salute:

Mang, abnaxus ALWAYS posts screens with wrong aspect ratio, it's his "thing", like Crispy and Emma.

I made it my mission to sleep with any lesbian i could find and that was more interesting then the rest of the missions and achievements in the whole game.
