I finished game with barb (normal, currently near nightmare end), rogue (hell difficulty near end) and sorcerer (same as rogue) so far. Sorcerer is still op since you still need only magic raising, because items and rings/amulets will give you needed. Spells are so good that you won't need mana shield for a long time. Golem spell is fixed and is actually useful because it levels not only through books but along with you because his hp is matching the mana of your character. For a fragile sorcerer it is a blessing, but others can use him as well since the higher difficulty levels have more monsters per level.
Rogue is really good when you have a bow and use the new skills. Barb is tough at the beginning but you can work him out and be a killing machine. Currently trying the necromancer which needs vitality as high as possible. Assassin relies on items from what I have been hearing, plus you need to abuse stealth to survive.
They are still working slowly on Tchernobog, which will be Belzebub with multiplayer, probably some additional fixes as well to the single player version. I Hope the project won't die because it would be cool to see a group of players to venture through the whole game
Nah, you should see the mid-bosses on the last level of hell before you can fight Diablo. Now those are some tough fights. Especially the Death Knight guy that can teleport to your location if he sees you. Resistance lowering items are a must for a magic user as well.
Unique items plus crafted and using skills is the only way to play through Hell and Torment.
u sure about that? Last time I checked their site the main creator abandoned project due lack of time, send Belzebub source code to trash and release Tchernobog code for creator of Freeblio or whatever was called another project (open source Diablo or whatever).
And the fuck is this video? My barb can't even use Heal (req. 30 mana) even though I have more than required mana.
Can't learn to use Town Portal too...
How can he dual wield blades? Though no class can do that, including Assassin,
Yeah, very nice, you got the point, man, you made it, you're posting shit the 99% of humankid doesn't even fucking care on the internet, cool. And now? What the fuck was that game supposed to be? A name? A little-little-name to this fuckin-fuckin-game? is asking too much in this fucking century?
I mean, man, I'm high as fuck, you can't just throw a fuckin' screen without a name, it's fucking mesmerizing.
Nice shit though, keep posting comrade, keep posting.
Kinda. I usually don't log in a forum when I smoke weed, but when I do I tend to reach a superior limit of shitposting and doggery. Some of you may say that limit, we'll call it L, is not that far from my usual behaviour(N), or in other words: |L-N|<C, with C=abnaxus' not pornographical games played per day rate, and it seems to be all correct, but hey, fuck you.
I resumed BaK after two months and I lost my notes.. where am I?
Point and click first person adventure pretty similar to Scratches. Few games get the Lovecraftian atmosphere. These guys get it.
Pros:
Lovecraftian atmosphere done right with good writing.
Nice aesthetics/visuals.
Interesting puzzle-solving ideas with the ability to gather clues by general observation or by manually underlining passages in documents and then being able to combine those clues like inventory puzzles.
Some good logical puzzles that require observation and careful thought.
A certain non-linearity and some secret/side stuff that can be found that are not required to finish the game but add more to the setting/story.
Cons:
A couple of shitty instances of "pixel hunting" that can bork your game.
Above gameplay mechanic can become problematic since the game sometimes expects you to find certain clues or perform certain clue inventory combinations even if you've already reached the correct conclusion.
Discerning what should be underlined in documents can lead to frustration (if you play in the hardest mode, you can change that to make it easier in the settings).
It's a bit unpolished, but all and all very much recommended, especially for horror/HPL fans.
Sin was always in the shadow of Half Life. Released too quickly, had very long loading times and bugs that didn't help building good first impression. But fix was released quickly and after that it was like magic. I never realised how much the level designers worked to make them so open. Most missions have main and extra objectives. What is interesting, is that you can fail the extra ones, and the game will go on. Sometimes deactivating some machines will not change anything, but later on you will know that it really helped you to get to some later parts. On your first playthrough you will probably even skip some levels. Many times you will find out that you can use more than one exit to move on. Not to mentions secret locations and easter egg ones. The game is really huge compared to new titles, and it's all working on Quake 2 engine. Really amazing. On your way you will find computers that have basic dir and cd commands known from DOS. It was probably the first FPS that made them more interesting, than pressing use to open doors/bars/etc.
The story, with protagonist Col. John Blade sets out to stop Sinclaire, aided by his friend and sidekick J.C. Armack (love the tribute to ID Software founder) that unveil the plot involving Sintek corporation and their hot CEO Elexis Sinclair. The action starts with a helicopter section and bank heist. And it just goes one, the sci fi mixed with a lot of action. J.C. as a sidekick comments our every action and he is really cool and funny through throughout the whole plot. The dynamic fantastic soundtrack made by Zak Belica keeps you focused. It's probably my favourite ones of all time. The enemies are really good and they aim really good. Dealing with a commander with a shotgun will show you how far we went when it comes to difficulty. John similar to his foes has 3 type of armor - head , chest , legs. Of course you can take the armor from fallen enemies, but it will be destroyed due to your shooting. The best approach is of course the headshot. Later on, you need to look up for guys with rocket launchers and sniper rifles. Those are very deadly, even with full armor.
The weapons - from the characteristic futuristic magnum, awesome shotgun that give us proto-gore system like from SoF, sub-machine gun that will be our workhorse. There is also bigger machine gun that has also alternative fire mode and behaves like a grenade launcher. Plus some additional ones. Oh, and there is also a powerful energetic plasma like weapons. The only thing is, that it's hidden in three parts through the whole game so you need to pay attention.
Played the GOG version and used this patch to have widescreen resolutions and fix some minor issues with vanilla build. The only problematic thing was that the screens from computers didn't scale properly, but since I type without looking on keys and know the game so well it wasn't a big deal for me.
Anyway, I really recommend it. Half Life is good, but it feels claustrophobic when it comes to level building.
Next stop - Wages of Sin - the first and only expansion.
A giant Don Peste , one of many easter eggs that you can find. Rats are very vicious, and they attack us on the spot! Fortunatelly for us this giant won't harm us.
A nod to german gamers. Killing with a forklift like Klaus was never so fun!
Ritual probably didn't knew that there was released in Poland Doom clone with exact name - Gloom. It was only made for Amiga though.
Played Sin until you get that mutant Mob guy at the metro and kinda felt meh about it. Gave up right on the next mission where if you don't stealth some really overpowered spiders kick your ass. Really found the shooting excellent but the level design... at least on the bank heist level left me with the impression of a linear Half Life clone with a dumb B movie plot. You start Sin on a turret section, a literal huge Sin to me, then you chase some guy over linear ruined buildings killing his mooks, I had a really bad feeling of "Hey, guys, we now have technology, lets impress the player with our scripted setpieces instead of letting him lose?" . However got interested when you said the levels get big and open, the bank heist level is kinda too cinematic setpiece orientated for my taste, does the game get over this?
I was expecting a Duke 3D, Shadow Warrior or Blood kinda of FPS.
