Great game, playing it atm. It reminds me of Robin Hood: Legend of Sherwood in all the good ways although the classic has some nitpicks over ST. Still, a solid minimum 8/10.

Holy shit it took more than 1.5 hour to finish Kanazawa siege, I killed all officers and most of the guards though.

At the end the alarm activated for a very brief moment, I don't know if it's even possible to kill the general without alarming anyone.

I bought this game years ago, but I had a nasty bug where all my saved games got deleted. I was halfway through the game and I didn't feel like restarting it, but now I played it again from the beginning (making sure to backup all my saves this time each time I exited the game!!!) and have finished both it and the expansion pack. What a good game. I only played it on normal difficulty, just having a relaxing time. All the missions up until the last one were very well balanced I think BUT THEN THAT FINAL MISSION HIT AND WHAT THE FUCK!!! I grinded at it for a couple of hours until I lost patience and looked up a guide. Turns out you can beat it in a couple of minutes if you know a trick.

It's awesome that the devs actually thought of adding this surprise ending. I have no idea what kind of sperg you have to be to be able to find this easter egg though.

Anyway, really good game overall. All the characters were awesome, both personality-wise as well as mechanically. They had really good chemistry with one another which I appreciated a lot. It felt like a real team of friends. Initially I thought Takuma was a bit useless, but then I started using his ammo a bit more and found him a very fun character too. Also Kuma is broken af. Easily the best lure in the game. It's insane how good he was.

Story was also nice. It was a bit predictable but it managed to get the job done and it hit me right in the feels when you know what happened. None of the previous Commandos-like games really stood out when talking about the story, not even Desperaods, but the devs here actually put some effort into it and it was worthwhile.

Graphics and sound were great too. Some faggot earlier complained about the 3D graphics. Lmao what a loser. The maps looked beautiful, with the perfect amount of color, not too Overwatch gay, not too grimdarkshit filter either. Just right. VA was also top notch. I played with the jap voices cuz the kwan ones were cringy af. The jap actors did an incredible job as expected from them. Soundtrack was awesome too.

I also played the expansion pack. It was kinda short for my liking and the story wasn't that intriguing, but the missions were fun.

Shame what happened to the studio. The woke retards shot themselves in the foot and deserved to go bankrupt.

PS: a small tip for those wanting to play the game. If you want to play both the base game and the expansion, know that the expansion missions take place between missions 8 and 9 of the base game. So finish mission 8, play through the expansion, and then jump back into mission 9 if you want a chronological playthrough. Alternatively you could just finish the base game and then play the expansion, because there is a slight spoiler right at the end of the expansion for an important reveal in one of the later missions. Your choice.
