He was talking about Lucky Strike team. In Dragonfall she also mentioned Racter in her party.

Eh you're right about that. I figured they were separate instances in his time there.

I don't like the companion advancement system, makes me jealous. The PC turns out to be the most generic motherfucker, powerful, but unless you don't take cyberweapons he's the most indistinct guy on the team. I wish the PC had access to more unique abilities.

Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Insert Title Here Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Man, Dragonfall had a good hook. That first mission developed shit.

Now I have a crime boss begging me, a branded terrorist with the most powerful body of power in the country after me (Or at least one member of it), whilst I have a giant bounty on my head, to work for her. Even putting me in charge of the team. That while I'm a foreigner who only did one tiny job for her.

Seems kinda forced.

I figure a real triad boss'd either kill the two discreetly, for being a hazard, or try to collect the bounty themselves.

Oh man the dialogue for the Irish girl in the serial killer mission is some 1950s Hollywood Police Commissioner levels of bad Irish-ness. "Begorrah and bejaysus, shore were'nt the Troubles a wee shame? Bullshite!" I really can't stand it when I come across a 'flavourful' Irish/Scottish character, every single line is like a tiny rake being drawn across my brain.

I love it otherwise. I don't know what it is, but these string of Shadowrun games never fail to immerse me. I really feel grabbed by them in a way that reminds me of being a kid. I think it's that there's just such a steady stream of interesting characters and situations to come across. Every time I start thinking I'm wasting my time playing this schlocky pulp, I'll come across a character or a sginle line that genuinely elicits a laugh or a thought. It's pulp done right; worth playing for those great moments alone.

tell me i'm missing something on the sinking ship

i'm on the second below deck level having pulled the lever to alert cadmus shit is happening, however I cannot see a way forward. i can see a room with magic hotspots behind a door, but none of the doors can be opened, nor can I climb back up to the previous level. interacting with the scuttling charges does nothing.

There's a codex thread on the Shadowrun BBS in Hong Kong.

Also, anyone know why half the portraits look like losers who die in fights as opposed to hardened runners that actually come out of battle alive?

I have played half a dozen missions so far and I do not feel motivated to continue playing.

The first SR game (Dead Man's Switch) had great writing and characters, a nice cyberpunk noir story, but the game suffered from a lack of content / options. (Still I completed it and had fun)

The second game vastly improved there but the writing was noticeably worse. I can still remember the "villain" (and many other characters) from the first game, why I have almost completely forgotten the whole plot of the second - because it was forgettable, and your companions were insufferable - oh so edgy - Biowarian emos. (Still I completed it and had fun)

Now the third game has a lot of content it seems - lame, unfocused content. The characters are boring, just like the mission design. Everything about this game is just lackluster. Also the new matrix sucks, they turned it into a fucking action puzzler! I play turn-based RPGs because I do NOT enjoy quick reaction games, people.

And? I am too old to passionately argue about video games.
Oh, i was just illustrating that you are out of your depth mang, go back to GD.

Or at the very least construct some valid criticism, dont tell me it sucks, tell me why, give me examples. Otherwise the only thing i can do is point out that you suck.

"Out of my depth"?! The amount of current posts here is no indication of anything except current passion to argue about video games.

Or at the very least construct some valid criticism, dont tell me it sucks, tell me why, give me examples.

Who are you to tell me what I am supposed to do? Did I miss a memo or something?

I wrote that I found the mission design and characters boring, also that the whole game felt unfocused, and that I disliked the new matrix and why. That is how I feel about this game and that is all. I do not have to give you or anyone else any examples, and I have no interest in spending my limited life time on that either. Just felt like shortly dropping by and leaving my personal verdict on this game.

Otherwise the only thing i can do is point out that you suck.

WTF?!

Lhynn exposing someone's post ratio is a retarded way of deconstructing an argument. You can't tell him to give more detailed arguments when you're the one firing blank rounds here.

copypasta from /v/, supposedly the total number of each etiquette check:

Academic - 10
Shadowrunner - 6
Socialite - 4
Gang - 2
Corporate - 2
Security - 2

it's a little lopsided

Rigging is also probably super expensive and the companion rigger gets super perks and a super drone that are unavailable to you so why bother.
Now that sounds disappointing. Are there any new drones/drone types for a Rigger PC or is it just a straight upgrade line (Class C>B>A>S) with the same ones from Dragonfall again? And if it is, any suggestions for some other build that does anything interesting apart from shooting at mobs?

Pretty sure there are at least 6-7 corporate checks

Really? Well, disregard that then. Good thing too 'cuz those numbers are pretty bad. Shadowrunner and especially Academic do seem to have far more than any other, though.

The thing with Academic is that most of the checks just give you some extra info / background (or make the NPC sound a bit more impressed with you, but no real gameplay effect).
