Roguey being a huge bleeding vagina ITT.
Loot was never a big part of SR, since the stuff runners want to use usually comes through their fixer and has been cleaned of all identifying marks, from RFID chips to serial numbers to associated paperwork. Or is in the form of magical supplies which are very personal due to the way SR magic works (so stealing someone elses focus is no good unless your traditions are similar), or involves surgically adding stuff to your body which is difficult to do in the field.
Pick up that CorpSecs Ares Predator and the grip will have been customized for someone else, it will not be calibrated to work with your smartlink and you'll have to spend time hacking (time consuming) it to bypass the biometric security before it'll even fire. After the mission it's not going to be worth more than 5-10 nuyen because it's registered in half a billion places and the whole purpose of being a runner is not leaving any paperwork trail. It's a lot of risk and hassle for minimal reward.
And don't get me started on the joys of running around with a dead mans credstick, trying to buy NutriSoy™ in Stuffer Shack.
Telesma, summoning materials and such can be salvaged in the field (and likely falls under their limited loot system). But 9/10ths of the time, a Shadowrun is about getting paid by Johnson and possibly uncovering data worth selling.
Cyberware is also not worth recovering, since you will need specialist clinics to free the stuff without damaging the connectors. Also, second-hand cyber/bioware incurs additional essence loss when implanted. If you're a player character, you really don't want anything less than alpha-grade or better when it comes to cyber. And that stuff again requires access to highly exclusive black clinics if you need to have restricted stuff implanted.
The moment one of your players gets it into his head to start harvesting organs and second-hand bioware is when most campaigns end up with the runners getting eaten by ghouls. Because once you start working for Tanamous, you only land jobs with a certain kind of very, very dangerous Johnsons.
Go back to the P:E thread with your inanity if you don't understand the setting.
