Fortunately, I don't use Steam. =) I am completely against any type of DRM. GOG and the ZOOM Platform (especially ZOOM) are the best in offering games free from any radioactive shit that puts your game in a cage. Well, if you say that the old Steam version was bad, maybe it's because they were using the files from the retail version without any compatibility fixes, hence the bugs and other weirdness. You know, the GOG team adds compatibility fixes, they even have a wrapper (dxcfg) for it.
