LeBlanc is fun to play but useless in ranked. she is extremely depandant on getting early kills, so if your opponent is even slightly defensive, she'll never become useful.

A leblanc with lots of good ganks will be powerful in the midgame and so-so lategame.
A leblanc without lots of good ganks early will be ignorble in the midgame and nonexistent in the lategame.
I bought leblanc and got 13/1/8 in my first game. Gotta love that burst damage It might be because I'm only level 10 and not fighting proper opponents, but I found that even though my enemy(Ryze) was playing quite defensively, I could still kill him with that crazy damage she has.

Playing defensively pretty much means letting you push so you have to get underneath the tower to get in your damage. But yeah, LeBlanc vs. N00Bs is one of the main reasons new LoL players shout OMG IMBALANCED THIS GAME IS ;)

Yep, besides LeBlanc is kinda easy to snowball, since she's mainly early-mid game champion. Get fed early, dominate mid-game and hope you end before late game. Of course, on low levels you can stomp all the time, but when you are higher people start buying defensive items, so LB isn't that efficient.

If I play Annie and start off laning against bursters I pretty much buy standard (Boots + 3 pots) instead of Manastone + 2 pots.

If you're careful, you can creep just fine and avoid dying.

Yeah, but bursty casters are easy to bait into overextending themselves if you got MR. :P

More often than not, the "Vladimir is OP" reaction can come from this, actually, because you rush to Spirit Visage with its health and MR so fast. MR on the opposing caster would be just as crippling for Vladimir at this point in lane.

Revolver is definately the first item, Visage is right after. I follow Reginald's guide here: http://www.solomid.net/guides.php?g=1479

In which you buy Spirit Visage after revolver.

Spirit Visage and similar items have amplified spell vamp and life steal since a couple of patches ago.

They changed it in june I think.

I just had the most frustating game ever, testing Caitlyn for the first time I'm making a 5/0/3 on the laning phase, so far, so good. Then my partner thinks he'll go take a walk around the map for the rest of the time, so I'm playing defensively, badly hurt, asking for help that never comes and unable to leave the tower because they're going to fucking destroy it.

Anyway, 50 minutes later, we're like 20 - 90, my team won't fucking surrender and for some reason still unknown to me THEY CAN'T FUCKING FINISH US. What a terrible waste of time.

Seriously, I'm the last to blame my team when I lose a game even if they're terrible noobs, but why they won't surrender and save our time is beyond me. Especially when we're 50 minute into the game and we still have a lvl 12 Kennen

Not that I don't sympathize greatly with everything else you said, but this is a misnomer. Are they going to kill you if you stay? Then the opposition gains a kill and you lose a tower. If they're going to destroy the tower anyway, ALWAYS fall back. One of the classic mistakes is saying "but I had to stay" - why? If they take the tower anyway, what did your death do? :)

Maybe you didn't mean what I thought you meant, I just wanted to state that in case you did!

Awesome match so far. Fnatic are really taking a dump on the meta with that comp, it's pretty awesome to see them do good with such a squishy team.

So yeah, if you watched CLG vs SK you know why Nidalee is always banned in matches against CLG.

Confirm/deny:

DotA/LoL/HoN games tend to be decided within the first twenty minutes but you're obligated to spend another 30-50 minutes after that letting the match run its course.

This is what really bothered me when I tried LoL a couple years ago. I don't have the time to waste banging my head against a brick wall and you can't quit the stupid match or you'll get banned eventually. Maybe this is a symptom of low ELO solo play?

Yes and no.

Yes: In Low-ELO (meaning where bad players are), games can typically be decided within 20 minutes because some idiot feeds the enemy team. If your team does want to surrender (requires 4 votes out of 5), you are likely to spend 20 minutes playing when all is lost.

No: This is DEFINETELY not the case in medium and high elo. If players know just a bit how to play they will typically not do the catastrophical amount of feeding required to end a game within the first twenty minutes.

Maybe every 1 out of 10 games I play are decided within the first 20 minutes, and out of those, only in about half or so am I forced to play on.

Thank god they're playing with the Wukong patch. If they'd been playing with the Skarner patch, someone would've been bound to show everyone just how scary Morgana has become after her buffs and I'd never get to play her in ranked again.

Was playing her in 1500-elo ranked yesterday. 7/0/19, 10/3/11, 4/3/11. She was pretty much a part of severy single kill the team got in every game, usually doing ~30-50% of everyones HP in damage and locking them down completely.

The Mass AoE meta is poking its head out again. Morgana synergizes extremely well with champions like Gangplank, Amumu, MF, Orianna and Rumble. The shortened delay on her ultimate means she can usually rush Rabadons before Zhonyas and still live in early teamfights.

She's seeing quite a lot of use in the 1600+ ELO brackets. But the sheep won't be out in force yet because she won't get played at gamescom.

Well, I was holding the tower just fine, I just needed a break to recover and buy some times, so I could push the line from the tower. I died to a worse mistake, though, which was leaving the tower to attempt to kill one of them. Anyway there wasn't much I could do in the end.

Based on what you've written here and in your guide, you're not doubt a skilled player - I just think that Morgana is simply at the viable "tier". Not a top pick/ban by any means, but not trash either.

I can stand for Ulm's skill-level. I enjoy playing with him because he has an excellent sense for the game and usually carries his own weight and more. He is better than me, without a doubt :)

Something I enjoy less when playing with Ulm is the constant whine :P

But I agree with you Phage - I don't think Morgana is - in general - as hardcore as Ulm's states. I believes she becomes that it Ulm's hands because he plays her extremely well and the differences between tiers matter less even on Ulm's skill level than in tournament play.
