Had a look at Soylasta's twitter and they're officially paying twitch thots to shill their faggot game.

That girl barely has any views.

If you're gonna hire thots to promote your game atleast do it with some big shots like Amouranth.

Good Lord, so you folks started with "how dare they put an optional they pronoun" followed by "I see a higher-up black character, my pitchfork trembles" and now into calling someone a thot because? Looking at Bunny's twitter, yeah, it's soft-porn, but Cola is a thot too because?

Don't be a beta. Don't humiliate yourself because of women, they're not worth it.

Btw that Tracey has a fucking annoying voice. Reminds me of a business partner I had. Everytime she opened her mouth I wanted to either punch or put a dick in it. To me every women with an annoying voice like that is a thot, so there's a plausible reason for you.

Even the 'all wymyns are thots' truism aside this one in particular from a short glimpse looks like a very, very ordinary boring ass girl, who has nothing to offer (she clearly suck at what she play) other than again, her nothing special looks and irritating voice. She pleads for 'support' like any other thot, it's not a kind of streamer who got disclaimer like "do not donate, I'm here purely for fun". Case closed.

Thank you for reminding me why I haven't touched the forum in years.

Tracey is that you?

Don't be mad. You're fine here since you have to type to communicate.

In case you really are Tracey: listen, don't be embarassed by this label, EMBRACE the thotness! You're entertainer now, act accordingly. In turn, all the simps in the world are at your disposal, you just have to... entice them somehow. Unless you, uh, don't wanna do something else with your life, of course. Just don't be a hypocrite.

I literally couldn't care less about your opinion on any of this. The one thing that I am bothered by, is people judging a game not by its writing or gameplay or combat or characters, but because they see some dangerhair and immediately assume the absolute worst. The fact that politics seep into every single RPG discussion in here these days is just incredibly tiring and seeing a pretty decent game with passionate devs who actually know their shit and made a pretty fun turn-based RPG get discredited because they offer a third pronoun choice, is just straightup sad.

You'd think the codex of all places would place the quality of the game above all else and disregard all the pointless attempts at trying to harness community support or get good PR by virtue signalling. It used to, anyway.

Yes yes, keep on trotting out that tired old boomer line that has resulted in the entire degeneration of western culture. The rest of us have recognized the mistake of the last 3 generations and will no longer tolerate this moral decay.

Your contribution to the cause by complaining about the decline of western civilization on an obscure RPG online forum is duly noted. Statues will be erected of you in the not so distant future when your efforts will have turned things around. I salute you.

Man, I scrolled through a shit ton of posts looking for the part where the RPG forum talks about RPGs, and 90% of what I saw was the same old boring political shit you guys do in every thread now.

That's kinda funny; Codex will look for something to get triggered - no matter how small that thing is and that no one in their right mind would even notice it - then they'll spend dozens pages on that subject, only to complain that "everything is too political these days" and that "SJW beta-cuck soysippin'-libtards are too obsessed with pronouns". And every goddamn thread about cRPGs is polluted with this crap. Either this is some 4th-dimension level of trolling or some folks here are too dumb to even notice that hypocrisy.

Check the other thread though, it's more informative.

So, is *the game* any good?
The game is decent but suffers from an unsatisfying story, rushed final act, poor QOL features such as scrolls not telling you what a spell does, too easy if you have any experience with the genre, and at the moment a barebones dungeon editor. If you aren't itching for a game right now I would wait until it goes on sale since by that time the dungeon editor should be more fleshed out and there might be some more bugfixes released.

Not sure about this one. It's got Generic Fantasy Story #423132. Combat is decent mechanically but feels really sluggish. The whole game's got this slowness to it that really bores me, especially since the environments are really bland. The conversations and voice acting are really awkward. I'm not sure if i'll stick with the game for much longer, but i'll give it a few more hours. So far i'm feeling a 5.5-6 (slightly above average) on this one.

I'll copypaste most of what I wrote in the General RPG Discussion thread:

Just finished the game. Clocked in at about 40 hours according to Steam, but in reality it's probably closer to 35 since I often tabbed out or just had the game running in the background while I was doing something else.
I'll rate it an okay out of 10; it's pretty mediocre. Fortunately it's on the good end of the mediocre spectrum so I'd still recommend it to people who are interested in playing it although the €40 price tag does seem a bit steep if you intend to buy it.

The last time I played it was during its first early access build which I think was in October or November last year. I expected it to be a lot more polished now that it got its full release and that was a big mistake. It's not like the game crashes or becomes unresponsive, but at times it really felt like I was playing a prototype rather than a finished game. I did run into a number of bugs though, many of which seem like something that far too easily slipped through QA. Assuming the game had any QA to begin with.
Right from the beginning they had said that story or graphics wouldn't be their main focus and I'm fine with that since the combat is where the game gets a chance to shine. The story is very linear and it doesn't pretend not to be either. Graphics are honestly fine since you'll be spending most of the game zoomed out, but the character faces are ugly as hell whenever they show up in the cutscenes.
If you want to compare the combat to any of the other CRPGs released in the same time frame the most obvious comparison would be BG3 and Solasta absolutely blows that game out of water in that department. Larian should honestly feel embarrassed that a game of this quality (or lack of thereof) made by such a small studio (15-20 people according to their website) can have combat that's miles ahead of what a AAA studio with a budget of several millions can create. Combat did feel like it got progressively easier once I got halfway through the game, but FWIW I made sure to do side quests when they appeared so I eventually ended up outscaling the locations the main story took me to.

The lack of classes will definitely hurt the game's replayability since trying out new builds is just about the only reason to replay the game due to its otherwise very linear nature. For a game that sells itself on essentially being a 5e combat simulator it really needs more than just six classes. I'll replay it once they add Sorcerer and see how it ends up changing the game. It'll also give me a chance to use a Paladin and Ranger since I didn't use either of those two in my one playthrough. I've read that Paladins apparently are absolute monsters in this game so I suppose I'll have that to look forward to. I didn't really try the dungeon maker or any of the community made levels so I can't comment on those.

I wonder what's next for the studio once they finish patching up the game. I imagine they gained a lot of valuable experience from making this title and I'm curious to see what they could end up making in the future.
