What's really, really cool is the jobs board interface showing off <i>cargo hauling</i> missions, which <b>Aaron Hall</b> promised in <a href="http://www.rpgcodex.com/content.php?id=46">our second interview</a> about this game, and was something <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/games/freelancer/">Freelancer</a> missed the boat on doing.

Some of the missions in X:Tension have some really nifty spins on some fairly traditional jobs. Last night I was invited to a wedding as the entertainment. I had to shoot down ships piloted by prisoners as they took off from the wedding vessel. It boils down to "go here, kill this" but it's a better slant than the usual cliches

Yeah, I remember things like that in Privateer 2. One of the funniest ones was a reality show kind of thing where a producer hired you to go shoot up a bunch of remotely piloted ships while the cameras were rolling and then tricked you by hiring a bunch of bounty hunters to try and blow you up afterwards, then he'd try to make it up by giving you a bonus when you killed them instead.
