At first I thought that as well, but look at the video bro, look at that inventory screen. This is like 3 times more complex than Mass Effect. And even this being the RPG Codex, I'm not sure if that's a good thing on such a game.

"Three times more complex than Mass Effect" is an insult, not a compliment.

How are you all missing the self-effacing tone of "up to the crappy standards of the show". Trey and Matt aren't assholes, and they wouldn't risk the game's success by putting that out there even if they were.
I thought that was obvious, but then again i know the show and the creators.
The quality will depend on if you want to experience a cRPG or play out a South Park episode, i guess. For an episode it really does look fun. If it wouldn't come with uGay, it would be a 1st day purchase for me.

I kinda wonder if the many different damage types shown are gameplay relevant. I hope so at least.

I actually do think the battles/encounter design might be entertaining considering the same guy who did a lot of DS3's encounters is responsible here.

Which had at least some fun ones compared to other Obs titles ( Which isn't exactly an achievement I know)

Pay close attention to South Park game, folks. South Park combat will be a test-bed for all the crappy ideas Sawyer has for PE.

I will not give money for this game. Also because I pored so much money in Project Eternity and Wasteland that now I have to suck cock for bonbons that I sell at the market

Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Codex Year of the Donut I'm very into cock and ball torture
I'm a big fan of Oblivion

Kill yourself.

You do know that was a typo on his part and he actually meant "Obsidian", don't you?

Of course you do. :M
No, that wasn't a typo, the word filter just changed ///RPG_Codex/// into "big fan of Oblivion". I ask for humble forgiveness of the mods that I thought of that disgusting place and ask you with rue in my heart that you remove my Toddfists and Hincesome ratings so I may begin my path to redemption. May your divine punishment, your lashes of rectitude speed me along towards the stars that are your magnificence.

Wasn't apparent in the demonstration, where it looked like all you needed to do to win was spam random abilities. And to think pale basement virgin Matt MacLean said they weren't going for "push a button and something funny happens" combat.

(I'm aware they wanted to demonstrate those abilities and the enemies were probably tuned lower than they will be but that would ruin the joke)

I thought you were not into virgin shaming. Have you changed your mind or is it only codexers that get a free pass ?

But Tim Cain was responsible for South Park's combat...

Sawyer's not employed on the South Park project.

You're telling me that they don't ever stop to talk about whatever else they are doing than PE? Let's not be naive. No division of labour in a game development outfit is ever completely clear cut. There is always some overlap, whether of actual labour or of theoretical / intellectual. That much is common knowledge. And they both work at Obsidian.

Okay okay, that's good news, I guess.

Don't worry, if SP ends up having shit gameplay you can always blame him anyway. +M

I will, indeed, unless it turns out Tim Cain or somebody else was responsible for the goodness :troll:

It's clear that they talk to each other, but responsibility would still be by the person who actually designs it in the end. If he's influenced by subpar advice its his own fault.

(General statement about such a scenario)

Honestly, though. Combat in this doesn't remind me of Sawyerism at all.

It's a reference to Mr. MacLean claiming how one wouldn't need to be a "pale basement virgin" to understand South Park's mechanics. It's funny because his appearance fits the stereotype.

If so, though.... What the hell would *Gross Damage* even have as an effect?
Some sort of standard nausea or poisoning effect, most likely. It could also mean a nasty surprise when the taxman comes along to collect the government's share of damage, but given all the vomiting I suspect not.

Am I the only one who has a problem with how much ass Butters is hauling, especially compared to the main character Douchbag with the Halberd?
