That's a rather uncomfortable pitch video due to the teleprompter reading. I guess it gets the job done though.

They've got some great voice talent in on this; hopefully the game lives up to it. This is either going to be awesome or horrible.

Boy I'm glad I didn't blow all my buckazoids on Astro Chicken right now. Though I'm not sure how much I want to pledge yet, right now I'm leaning towards the $100 physical boxed version, any thoughts on the tiers?

That one doesn't get any digital downloads. Weird decision if you ask me.

I pledged my $15. The funny thing is that I "owe" a bunch of a money to plenty of a devs from the 80s and 90s for pirating their stuff. I actually played all legal copies of the Sierra stuff though.

Hah, same here. Except Sierra too. I (or rather my parents) only bought a handful of games officially back then, Myst and some Lucas Arts titles being probably the only adventure games among them.

They've just added a $115 tier which is the same as the physical $100 one, except it contains a digital copy of the game.

Sketch demo 1 or whatever is in the updates. Just a very basic thing, but cool idea I think. I like these guys, they have style.

They've kind of stalled out after the first couple days. The upside is that they've done it with hardly any press outside a couple adventure game boards. If they had anything to show, I think they'd crush their goal like Leisure Suit Larry did with that one room demo thing.

Myeah, I'm a bit worried. Maybe it gets better after they release the next prototype or maybe some concept art.

Also, come on faggots, shell out the dough.

They will never get that kind of money, Al Lowe sit tight till the end, Jane Jensen will hardly get as much, too much arrogance, Schafer asked for 400K and was afraid that it was too much, this is what people should look at not the 3M$ that Double Fine raised.

Trend says ~800k: http://www.kicktraq.com/projects/spaceventure/two-guys-spaceventure-by-the-creators-of-space-que/
And I wouldn't be that quick about declaring defeat. I was SURE that Takedown game would fail, and Starlight Inception and Republique (also they were trending much lower) and yet they STILL managed it somehow...

I won't waste my time to explain to you why you are wrong on all accounts, one thing only, I anticipated that Starlight Inception and Republique would have been funded when they were still dead in the water.

They only ask for $500k. That's just 100k more. Sure, Schafer might have more recognition among younger people, but remember what they said they intended to do if they only raised what they asked for: some mobile flash game made by 3 people.
If 500k is arrogant for a full fledged game (as the Two Guys claim they want to make) then what's 400k for a mobile flash game?

The arrogance is in thinking that they can ask more than Schafer did.
